We brought two cars in for service. We were hustled to buying expensive tires, but more important was the service pushed on Our Toyota Solara. We were told that our automatic transmission oil was dirty a buying expensive tires, but more important was the service pushed on Our Toyota Solara. We were told that our automatic transmission oil was dirty and we should have it changed. Thecar has only 20,000 miles on it. I said another time. I called my local service person and he said that doidi not seem right. He said bring it in and he would check it. He checked and said there was nothing wrong with the transmission oil. I am sure if there was he would have been glad to change it but it was not necessary. He said that most often the transmission oil will last the life of the car, but that it was not usually checked until at least 40,00 miles. Toyota service is very aggressive. I do not expect that the service department not make a profit, but they were way out of line. Rudy Cesarini More
Bait and switch. I see the car online and then it's "sold" when I get there. then salesman Tony calls me the net day and says he just got another car in for me and can hold it for a small deposit so t "sold" when I get there. then salesman Tony calls me the net day and says he just got another car in for me and can hold it for a small deposit so that no one takes it. (what a thoughtful guy that Tony is.) steer clear of this place and salesman Tony. i even overheard him telling other salesmen how he once haggled an artist from $250 to $50 for a carving that took days for the artist to do. nice work, Tony but here's a tip..."don't brag about how much of a cheap xxxxxxx you are within earshot of customers". STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. More
We had purchased a 2007 Saturn Aura from this dealer on 2/12/2009 and they then sold the car the night before we were picking it up, and never informed us of this little problem. Buyer beware, even thought 2/12/2009 and they then sold the car the night before we were picking it up, and never informed us of this little problem. I have serviced my car with Atlantic since I have had it. I have always done the service's they have recommended. Recently I have had a few bad experiences with them. They redid my brakes 4 times and wanted to charge me every time. Next I had an issue that would have been covered by warranty but I was over the mileage by 50 miles, they did nothing to help out with the cost of this. Now I went in to the dealer to only get an inspection and they were just rude!!!! I will never recommend them to anyone ever again. I love my Toyota Camry but hate Atlantic Toyota. More
I recently leased my second Toyota Sienna from Atlantic Toyota. The salesman was very polite and helpful. I turned in my first lease about one month early and was able to get another Sienna the same day. I Toyota. The salesman was very polite and helpful. I turned in my first lease about one month early and was able to get another Sienna the same day. I actually got a higher model Sienna and was able to lower my monthly payment by $30 per month! Me and my wife couldn't be happier. More
I can't believe all the bad reviews I see on this website for this dealer. Maybe only the unhappy customers posted. I had a very positive buying experience here in August/September 2004. I went in because an for this dealer. Maybe only the unhappy customers posted. I had a very positive buying experience here in August/September 2004. I went in because an ad in Newsday said $750 off he list price of all Siennas. This was a good deal at the time since it was a new model and the usual discount was $500. I was greeted by and dealt with a saleman named Mitch. I think his last name was "Messling", or something like that. He was very professional. He had us drive the car and then let my wife and I talk it over. There was never any pressure. He asked what other vehicles we were looking at (Honda Odyssey). He asked what other dealers we had been to (Honda City). He asked why we didn't buy the Odyssey from them (low value on trade in). He beat the Honda dealers trade in value by $500. He explained that kbb.com and other sites can give values for used cars, but they don't have to buy them and resell them. He explained that th trade in price is based on what the cars sell for at auction. He let us bargain down another couple of hundred from the already offered $750 off sticker. He asked if I wanted to finance through Toyota. I told him that I could get 4.9% on line through Capital One, but if Toyota was close to that, no problem. I was shocked when I cam to pick up the van and Toyota had actually undercut Capital One (4.3%).There was never any pressure or tricky tactics at all. Of course I had to meet with the closer who tried to sell me an alarm and an extended warranty, but even he was not a problem. Mitch even met us when we picked up the car and went over all the controls with us. I can't say as much for their service dept. They constantly try to sell unnecessary services like "their plan". I have dropped the car for routine things like oil changes and tire rotations, only to have them call me and try to sell services the manufacturer doesn't even recommend, like the 15,000 mile service, 20,000 mile service. They even told me that I should get my fuel injectors cleaned at 20,000 miles, even though the car was running fine. They even tried to sell me the in cabin air flter for soething like $80 installed. I bought a Bosch replacement at Auto Barn for about $25 and changed it myself in five minutes. But again, once they were put in their place and they received a couple of bad reviews on those all important dealer reiew surveys, they chilled out. They have been good in fixing two things under warranty, a power window motor and a couple of sensors that went out. Each time the car was left overnight and was ready the next day. Overall, I'd say sales were an "A plus", at least my salesman, and service was a "C". More
Wow - a complete waste of time. They first pulled the bait and switch on car that I confirmed was on the lot an hour earlier via phone!!! Then they kept me waiting for a good half hour while the looked bait and switch on car that I confirmed was on the lot an hour earlier via phone!!! Then they kept me waiting for a good half hour while the looked up a trade in value and lied about the "Galves" value of the car (I have access to the book independently). When I pointed out their error, there was some stuttering and lame excuses. I then got to wait 30 minutes while they found the keys to the car I wanted to test drive. When we started the car about a gallon of water came out of the exhaugst, the manager alternated between telling me it was normal or that it had rained. In addition, the guy sat there with a straight face and tried to tell me that the tires didn't have dry rot (they did). Stay far, far away from this place. By the way, this is how I was treated while I was sitting there with $20,000 CASH, trying to buy a car!!!! More
I went to this dealership to buy a used car that I saw online. I called in advance to make sure it was available since I had to drive 2 hours to get there. After I took it for a test drive the salesman Ma online. I called in advance to make sure it was available since I had to drive 2 hours to get there. After I took it for a test drive the salesman Martin Flores told me it had just been sold over the internet as I was driving it! He offered to show me other cars but none met my criteria. Talk about a bait and switch operation! What a waste of my time and money. Don't go there. More
I went to this dealer three different times. It's big and beautiful but the service undid any good first impressions that I had. I went in wanting to buy a car and actually got turned off. They wasted and beautiful but the service undid any good first impressions that I had. I went in wanting to buy a car and actually got turned off. They wasted my time showing me fancy cars that I told them I could not afford. They just kept saying that "a lot would be knocked off the price" and not to worry. "A lot" turned out to be $1,100 MAX. When I could not pay the expensive price minus the $1,100 they acted like i wasted their time. The Kelly Blue Book page that I printed out showed the EXACT car with exact features (and less miles) for way less than they asked. I was also kept waiting over 25 mins while the salesman attempted to help another couple at the same time (who were there complaioning about their service). I won't deal with them anymore. More
After just having purchased a car there several weeks earlier, I thought I might get a decent deal from this dealer. The car they were offering had a rip in the back fender (plastic) which they showed no earlier, I thought I might get a decent deal from this dealer. The car they were offering had a rip in the back fender (plastic) which they showed no interest in fixing and their trade-in offer was below what I eventually got elsewhere. They did not earn my business. More
