On January 6, 2013 we went into Atlantic Toyota in Amityville, NY. Our car was totaled in Super Storm Sandy and we were told by Atlantic Toyota that they would help us through this difficult time. We asked for a salesperson to show us a pre-owned 2011 dark blue Toyota Sienna LE AWD. We learned of it by another salesperson Scottie a few days prior to our visit. We wanted to take the car for a test drive before signing any paperwork to purchase the car. Mr. Corvello would not allow us to test drive the car before signing the paperwork to purchase the car. We asked the salesperson John Corvello to disclose if there was anything damaged in the 2011 Toyota Sienna before purchasing it. He said that "the car was in perfect condition and that there was no damage.' He did not disclose that there was a dent in the drivers door and window. It was the evening and it was dark out. Mr. Corvello had the door opened when we went in the car for a test drive. We asked several times to disclose any damage. Mr. Corvello stated that" there was no damage to the car." At the end of the sale Mr. Corvello left for home and did not complete the sale. He left his colleague, Lianne Dunne with us who did not know anything about the car. She completed the sale stating that" John Corvello said to call him if there is any problem with the car." Mr. Corvello said that if there was anything wrong after taking it home just phone him and he will take care of it. We called him the very next day on January 7, 2013 and explained there was a dent on the drivers door and window. He said to" bring the car in and it will be repaired." We brought the car in and waited some time, only to be told that they would not repair it. We then called the manager Peter Zorzy and explained the problem to him. He agreed to only fixing the window panel but not the dent. I did not agree with him because Mr. Corvello should have disclosed the damage to us. We spent a lot of money on the car and it should have been pointed out to us at the time of sale. The cost of the door would be too much for us to afford. They knew we lost our car and much of our belongings in the storm and I feel we were taken advantage of. We are very dissatisfied with the disrespect we received from the employees at Atlantic Toyota, especially John Corvello who obviously told us anything to get the sale, and then once he had our money ignore us and treated us badly. They did not properly disclose that there was a dent on the door. We believe that it is fair if they repair the door and window panel. We would not recommend Atlantic Toyota after the way in which they deceived us. More

I have been dealing with Atlantic Toyota since 2007. Today was my fourth vehicle purchase, a 2013 Corolla. Previous vehicles were Yaris and Corollas. I service my 2011 Camry on a Friday, very friendly, knowledgeable when explaining the service and fast. My wife was driving in snow/ice in her 2010 Highlander she experience brake noise when braking, I knowledgeable when explaining the service and fast. This dealership is the WORST place to buy a car. They hire inexperienced people to sell their cars. They promised me a vehicle and then sold it on me because they couldn’t wait a week for me to come and hire inexperienced people to sell their cars. After they sold the vehicle I was supposed to receive, they then lied and told me that the prep guy backed up into a pole with it. I then asked to see the damaged vehicle and they said it was already picked up and sent out to go to an auction. This all happened within 2 hours on a Saturday morning. Yeah, OK. I also traded a vehicle in and they gave me a price and then when I got there, they gave me a price that was less than they originally told me. This dealership will RIP YOU OFF! Stay Away! I have always purchased my cars from Atlantic dealerships and NEVER had this kind of treatment. I will Never buy from them again. Shop around, you can do better. More
