Customer service, attention to detail and follow up on a very tight deadline was excellent. I recommend this dealership because the customer experience far exceeds that of any other Toyota dealership I v very tight deadline was excellent. I recommend this dealership because the customer experience far exceeds that of any other Toyota dealership I visited both past and present. There was a problem with the first car I had ordered and Jeremiah and Martin brought another car the next day to close the sale. No reason to shop anywhere else. More
Everyone knows that buying a vehicle can be a hassle and such a headache once you get to the final stage of your purchasing cycle. Dealing with Atlantic Toyota was the opposite. I visited the dealership and such a headache once you get to the final stage of your purchasing cycle. Dealing with Atlantic Toyota was the opposite. I visited the dealership and walked out the same day with my brand new vehicle. The salesperson, Sandy, was very friendly, patient and organized in the purchase of the vehicle. This was such a smooth transaction and everyone was very trustworthy and honest from the get go. I can honestly say that if you are looking for a Toyota or even a pre owned vehicle, stop at Atlantic Toyota, trust me, you will not regret it. Purchasing a vehicle is a major commitment and you want to make sure you choose the dealership that gives you the best price, the best service, up front honesty and a simplistic buying experience and I can tell you that this was Atlantic Toyota. Don't take my word for it, feel free to stop in. More
After contacting many dealerships in my state, NOT ONE dealer would get me the monthly payment I needed, so I made a call to Atlantic Toyota Scion on Sunrise Highway in Long Island. Atlantic Toyota was t dealer would get me the monthly payment I needed, so I made a call to Atlantic Toyota Scion on Sunrise Highway in Long Island. Atlantic Toyota was the dealer who made it possible! They gave me what I needed on my 2010 Toyota Camry and I am now driving a fuel efficient Toyota Prius at the price I was looking for. The customer service was excellent and delivery process was simple, relaxing, and fast. Thank you Sandy and the man who delivered the car to my front door!!! More
This is the third time we've bought and/or leased from Atlantic Toyota; and the second time with Joe Handerhan. He has been very helpful, courteous, and extremely pleasant each time. We have two young b Atlantic Toyota; and the second time with Joe Handerhan. He has been very helpful, courteous, and extremely pleasant each time. We have two young boys, and as you can imagine, they can get antsy sitting around waiting. We've always had an area where they could snack and play, and the staff has been very supportive. Joe has always treated them like THEY're the customers. We also spent time chatting with Jeremiah, who also put us at ease by conversing freely about cars, sports teams, and players with my husband and kids. Considering we were leasing two cars, they got us out of there and into our new cars quite quickly. On a final note, I'm sure we'll be back in the future, as my husband now sees Joe as our one and only "car guy". More
My car was taken to Atlantic Toyota in Amityville after two days not knowing what was wrong with it. I own a fully certified Toyota and I paid for the Platinum warranty just in case. Today I was forced t two days not knowing what was wrong with it. I own a fully certified Toyota and I paid for the Platinum warranty just in case. Today I was forced to pay over 238.00 for a battery because the service man (Wayne) informs me that because I didn't know what was wrong with the car and that they had to run all sorts of diagnostic tests on it that I had to pay labor charges. We (my husband) and I explained that if we knew we needed a battery, we would not have had the car towed to Toyota but rather we would have purchased a battery. I let the service representative know that he did a really nasty thing to unsuspecting honest people. He should have informed us of these trumped up charges before not after the fact. Had I had the opportunity, I would have told him where to put the battery and what to do with the diagnostic test. Don't go to Atlantic Toyota Service. They are really @@#$ $% thieves. More
I stopped in under pretense that they would buy my car and lease me another for less than I was currently paying. Ms. Dunn led me to believe that they were going to buy my existing car the whole 3 hours I and lease me another for less than I was currently paying. Ms. Dunn led me to believe that they were going to buy my existing car the whole 3 hours I sat there from one office to another office to another office. When I finally realized (after 3 tortoreous hours) that they were going to take the car but NOT buy it, I told them they could not as I had to have it inspected before I could turn it in. I had told Ms. Dunn that from the beginning but she insisted they were taking the car. Yeah, they were taking it, not buying it as originally mentioned and she knew that, within minutes, after I first walked in the door. All she kept repeating after we sat for hours was, "They're working on it, they're working on it." Working on what? The manager who tried to be congeniel in the beginning became uncooperative and after sitting and waiting some more, we asked for all the paper work back they had done and walked out with a very bitter taste in our mouth. We entered the building at approx. 11:15 and left at 2:30. Since this bad experience, we have heard of others with this dealership and I will never recommend them. We were able to get our deal done with Huntington Toyota and were very satisfied. More
We needed a car for our son. We had a budget of 10K. My wife saw a full page add that looked like a news story in the paper explaining how Toyota was having a bad year and that they were discounting 40% an wife saw a full page add that looked like a news story in the paper explaining how Toyota was having a bad year and that they were discounting 40% and 50% she saw that we could get a new car for about 9K. We both agreed it sounded like a scam but we could not find any fine print about stipulations on the deal. We went to the dealer and took a test drive. After the test drive they explained that we had to enter into a lease deal with them which we did not want to do. We asked what the cash price was and they said about 15K. We said that was way over our budget and said we were leaving. Lianne said we should make an offer and she said they would see what she could do I told her our offer was 10K. She then showed us two used cars she said we could have for 10K. The manager also came over and explained that they could not honor the price in the paper unless we did the lease but that the 2 used cars were only one year old with low milage and the would sell them for 10K to us. We left and looked at some more cars elsewhere and then decided to go for her offer. We called Lianne back and she said we should bring in our sons present car so they could appraise it for the trade in. He cleaned out the car, we went to the bank to transfer money and then went back to Toyoda while we wer doing the paper work my wife noticed the price on the paper work waas wrong. Lianne after having said "You have my word 10K" was now saying "Well we were somewhere around 11K werent we?" she the brought out the used car manager who explained to us that it was rediculous for us to think we could get a 1 year old car for 10K. It was a waste of a whole day and I would never do buisness of any kind with them ever again. More
On Sunday June 27th, 2020 there was in ad in Long Island Newsday for a 2011 Toyota Rav 4. The ad was placed by Atlantic Toyota 200 Sunrise Highway in Amityville, NY. The ad stated: -$0- Down Payment Newsday for a 2011 Toyota Rav 4. The ad was placed by Atlantic Toyota 200 Sunrise Highway in Amityville, NY. The ad stated: -$0- Down Payment -0- Bank Fee -0- Security Deposit $189 due at inception = $0 Down payment, $0 Security Deposit, $0 Bank Fee: TOP/PO $6804/$14405. Payment excludes tax, title, & MV Fees. 12,000 allowable miles per year with .15 excess mile charge. I visited the showroom and spoke to a salesman named Zoltan Takash. I showed him the ad and he confirmed the facts. I explained that I had leased many cars and was interested in 36 equal payments zero down and zero due at the end of the lease. No money up front with the exception of the fee to transfer the plates from my present car to the new Rav 4. He agreed and wrote this down on the back of his card. On Wednesday June 30th I visited the dealership to consummate the deal. Mr. Takash told me it must be for a car in stock and showed me several light colored Rav 4s. I told him that my wife was only interested in a dark color and that we were flexible enough to consider any dark color even though we did have a preference. He searched the computer and confirmed that there were none in stock. I left and thanked him for his time. Several minutes later he called me on my cell phone and told me that he had located a black Rav 4. Not my first color choice, but I turned around and went back to the dealer. As soon as I sat down to seal the deal the sales manager (Anthony C.) came over and said I needed to put $1500 down plus sales tax. I was shocked. I was willing to pay the sales tax up front (even though the salesman said that I could roll it into the payment and change my monthly expense from the advertised $189 per month to $205 per month), first month’s payment and plates. I calculated my first payment to be $590 Sales Tax, $189 first month’s payment, and the $100 (approximate) cost to transfer plates. I would be left with 35 payments of $189 per month. I feel that this ad was deceptive and even worse, the salesman and manager were less than honest. I’ve heard many stories about car salesman but this is my first unpleasant experience. I also own a 2007 Highlander which I purchased at Millennium Toyota in Hempstead NY and had a very pleasant sales experience. I will shop for a Honda. More
