I ended up buying at Atamian after getting quoted prices via Zag.com. Atamian had the lowest quoted price and was located near my house and commuting route. I ended up having to order the car I wanted, wh via Zag.com. Atamian had the lowest quoted price and was located near my house and commuting route. I ended up having to order the car I wanted, which entailed a looong wait (96 days!), but I believe most of that was due to VW's production schedule rather than any shortcoming on Atamian's part. Jimmie updated me frequently on the status of my order and once the car hit port had it to the dealership quickly. The title, unfortunately, did not arrive for another week. I actually bought the car when it arrived but wasn't able to take delivery while waiting for the title, so paid for 1 week of ownership without use of the car. The dealer should not have done delivery until the car could actually be titled. I initially hoped to trade in my previous car but was offered an extremely low figure...less than 1/2 blue book on trade value. The amount was actually insulting, though they didn't push me to take it. I ended up selling the car privately within 2 weeks for more than 3x what they offered, so in the end that worked out. My only other complaint would be with the financing process. I had a very good rate available to me via a credit union, and initially the finance person at Atamian wasn't coming that close to it. After telling him we'd leave his offer, he found a better one, eventually finding one close enough to what I had for me to take. I was left with the impression that he would only have offered the better rate when pushed...so buyer beware, they look to make money on financing just as with the purchase price, trade in, etc. All things considered I would probably buy from Atamian again. They're no worse than a lot of other dealers and better than most. More
Bill Jarrett greeted me at the door. i knew exactly what car i wanted and what price i expected to pay for the new car and what i expected for my trade. Bill was great and worked with his manager to meet al car i wanted and what price i expected to pay for the new car and what i expected for my trade. Bill was great and worked with his manager to meet all my expectations. he found the car at another dealership. so i got exactly the car (color, options, and even an extra option at no additional cost) i wanted at the right price, and also what i believe is fair $$$ for my trade. completed the deal and picked the car up less than 24 hours later! very pleased. Steve (i can't remeber his last name) worked with me on all the paperwork etc. and was very efficient and thorough. thank you Bill and Steve. More
When my wife went back to this dealer for the second time with our trade and asked for what the final figures would be,this salesman refused to give her the relevant figures until she committed to buying the with our trade and asked for what the final figures would be,this salesman refused to give her the relevant figures until she committed to buying the car which is the most egregiously unethical conduct I have ever heard of from anykind of business enterprise. We both went to another dealership the next day and bought the same car within twenty minutes. I just wanted to let you know that I am so pleased that I chose to give my business to Atamian! (Do not tell Commonwealth I said that!) Your on-line information and responsiveness was second to none. It c chose to give my business to Atamian! (Do not tell Commonwealth I said that!) Your on-line information and responsiveness was second to none. It catapulted me to go to your showroom 1st....and, subsequently, was all I needed to make a great deal! From the moment I entered the showroom I was treated with respect and gained confidence that I was "in the right place". My salesperson, Eric Holland, was truly a pleasure to work with. He had an innate way of guiding me to the best choice (for ME) as opposed to the best choice for a great sale....which would have lead to me walking out (which I was prepared to do!). He was also fantastic with my son, who was with me, and happens to have Down syndrome. An amazing person.....he deserves a raise! :) Anyway, I am picking up my NEW JETTA tomorrow and I wanted to take the time to thank you. I appreciate your efforts to garner my business, Bill......and am SO PLEASED YOU DID! More
I got internet quotes from the five dealers within a 30mi radius. All the sales people said bottom line there was NO WAY they could let the car go for less than x because the standard "we are losing money" l radius. All the sales people said bottom line there was NO WAY they could let the car go for less than x because the standard "we are losing money" line. Atamian came in at the exact price I was looking for, no haggling back and forth! After dealing with four area sales people that totally brushed off my "ridiculous" offer, I packed up the family and my quote, but still afraid there was going to be some sort of shenanigans but there were none. I bought the car at the price and I was in and out within 90 minutes. Andre was respectful, organized and most importantly nice (patient) to my raging toddler and spacey husband. Thank you Atamian for making it the easiest, fastest car transaction ever! ....we got the 11 Jetta, it's super. Krista More
Had a Costco Auto quote in my hand when I walked in. I was a little skeptical because the price was really good but it was very real. They even matched the best financing we could find from a bank!! Bill was a little skeptical because the price was really good but it was very real. They even matched the best financing we could find from a bank!! Bill was very courteous and made the effort to make sure we were comfortable with what was going on. He personally drove to another dealership to pick up the car we wanted and I was driving off the lot in a 2011 Jetta Sportswagen TDI 3 days later. The process couldn't have been simpler and the price literally couldn't have been better. More
We arrived in the salesroom on a very busy Saturday but Bill met us at the door and said that he'd have a sales rep meet us in a few minutes. John quickly finished with another customer and then brought th Bill met us at the door and said that he'd have a sales rep meet us in a few minutes. John quickly finished with another customer and then brought the Jetta TDI that interested us around for a test drive. We felt no pressure at all during the drive and John answered all of our questions. Back at the office the negotiation went quickly giving us a price, trade-in value and finance rate that we felt were very fair. We've dealt with their service department before with a previous Jetta so we would highly recommend this dealership. More
Easy process because we had a set price through Costco. Financing was very good. Quick and easy paper work process. Very good customer service, pricing and availability of the vehicle (a Jetta TDI) we wanted. Bill Goulette provided an email price immediately (through the USAA program), and honored it. Bait and switch!!! I was given a reasonable price quote on line, only to be robbed on my trade. I came to Atamain Honda, with my checkbook, ready to buy one of there Honda Pilots. We were so far apart, c on line, only to be robbed on my trade. I came to Atamain Honda, with my checkbook, ready to buy one of there Honda Pilots. We were so far apart, continuing the discussion was futile. Atamain had two identical Pilots and a goal to sell a bunch of cars that weekend,...I just didn't get it. I was truly insulted that Atamain Honda thought I was so stupid, to consider their $1000 trade offer!!! Their own web site said it was worth $4-6,000. Then the Sales Manager tried to justify the rip-off with an offer to take me outside to show me that my 87,000 mile trade had scratches on the paint. Like all the other 87,000 cars are perfect!! I told Atamain that other dealers had evaluated it in the $4-5000 range. The sales Manager probably should have asked me what I expected for my trade before he told me It was worth only a grand. There was just no way to recover and save face after "playing that card". I went right down RT 93 to Weymouth Honda and had a deal within an hour for a few hundered bucks over my starting offer to Atamain. Fair starting offer I would say. $2300 better than Atamain. Thats 8 1/4%. And I thought Mass Tax @ 6.25% was outragous!!!! ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- DealerRater held this review for two weeks befor it "went public". I havn't been able to see it online till now. Having now seen Bill Goulette's responce to my review it seems that Bill wants to "paint a pretty picture" of himself and Atamian for reviewers looking at the site. It is a total lie that Atamian raised the trade value. The offer was firm. But it sure sounds like a sincear responce though. Although I have had several corraspondances with Bill Goulette (using the DealerRater site) since I first wrote it. None of the corraspondance shows up on the DealerRater review that "went public"???. In it Bill whines that Atamian's staff arn't bad people for lying about the actual trade values, when there own web site evaluates the car realisticly. My responce to him was as follows: 5) Being bested by another dealer doesn't make you bad. Treating people like saps makes you bad. After being lured into the showroom, the staff must have thought that I was stupid to accept an offer for less than 1/4 of the value for my trade. Then I was encouraged to be shown every scratch on the 87,000 mile trade and was told that for these reasons it wasn't worth squat. I had already been to other dealers who appraised the car, so that I know the aprox real value. I'm glad I did the homework to recognize when a dealer is lying to me about the trade value. I didn't like being treated that way. From your response I get the sense that you are trying to defend the sales managers actions. It would be easy for you to simpley blame him, but I am now getting the sense that this is a group effort from the whole Atamian team. Am I wrong ?? I see all suckers who provided good reviews on this site and I get the sense that few of Atamian's customers do thier homework. They must be to busy to care that they are being hosed by the car dealer. New cars are nice and that makes people happy. But all new car dealers are selling the same nice new cars. It's OK to make a living, but not a killing. More
