Arrigo exceeds my expectations, again! Lt. Dan Welch has made me a loyal customer years ago with my previous vehicle. Three years on, he knows and greets me when I am at Arrigo for service. Lt. My first purchase from him was a complete success, As a woman shopping alone, I was not patronized or taken advantage of, I was treated with respect, sold the right car for a great price, which was followed up with good service. When it was time to get a new car, I called Lt Dan , now a sales manager, and he came through for me, again, I got just what I wanted and a very good deal. He put me with Max James, a very knowledgeable and pleasant salesman., No hard, sell or any of those crazy games other dealers play, He found exactly the vehicle I wanted. We went for a test drive, he explained and demonstrated all the features, & gave me a 1 hour lesson on all the bells, whistles and buttons. Lt Dan came through with a deal, straightaway, no haggle, no back and forth. Just right, first time. Ken Williams in financing & Matt Diamond in delivery all did their jobs professionally & pleasantly another Arrigo success story as far as I am concerned. More

Purchase of new Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland Pros - salesman Chris Lowenthal was great. Cared about us and helped us find the right car. He personally cleaned off some marks for us, helped us transfer over our belongings from our old car, swapped over the license plate, helped us with information that the insurance company needed. He really went out of his way to make sure we were being taken care of. None of the cons are a reflection on Chris. He was readily available whenever I had needed him on the phone prior to coming in to the dealership. He provided us with water and snacks to make us comfortable. This should be provided free of charge by the dealership but he was buying it from the vending machine with his own money. The dealership has a lot of inventory - you will find what you are looking for. Their dealer fees are low - we paid $799 total for all the usual nonsense they add on. Their prices are fair. We got the deal we were looking to make (eventually). Cons - it's the usual performance. Took 7 hours to buy a car! So antiquated. Test drive was around the block. They expect you to make a $40,000 purchase decision based on 5 minutes in the car. Their initial offer for our trade was $13,400. After 3 rounds of negotiation, we agreed on $15,500. Why do they have to put you through this aggravation? Give us your best price right away and let's make a deal. The price on their car was $45,450. They came in at $40,707. We agreed at $39,200. Again, 3 rounds of negotiation with the "closer" Don. Why do they have to go backwards and forwards to the managers at the desk? It's such an outdated system. They pretend they are negotiating on our behalf. Just put me in front of the person who can make a decision and I'll do my own negotiating. I like to think I am smarter than the average car salesman. We had to wait over an hour to see the finance guy. What's his job? To sell warranties that you don't need when you are buying a new car. Oh, and to get you a 3.4% interest rate that was 50 basis points higher than I had already secured at my credit union. And finally - the delivery guy! Matt Diamond. This guy is very weird. All he had to do was give us the owner's manual and a flashlight that had been removed from the trunk. I thought the delivery guy would take you through the features of the car. No - he just sits in his office being weird. Again - more time wasted. Best advice - do your research. Pick out the car you are interested in and make sure they have it at the dealership you are visiting. They pull cars from multiple locations so you have to confirm your car is there. Have them work on your appraisal while you are test driving cars. This way you're not wasting time later waiting for the used car's manager's offer. Have other appraisals in writing - it is negotiation power (we had 2 other offers that made their initial offer look stupid). Play dealers off against each other but do it over the phone. You don't have to spend hours at the dealership. We knew the car we wanted and the price we were willing to pay. We had other dealerships who had given us their best price so we had negotiating power. Yet it all still took 7 hours. Be prepared for a long day. Take snacks and water. Don't negotiate on an empty stomach and don't get tired. They will try to wear you down. You need your A game. More
