I placed a call through the phone to an internet rep on a Friday and agreed on an offer for a car on the floor, contingent on the appraisal of my tradein. We scheduled a meeting for Saturday first thing in the morning when they opened to appraise the car and close the deal. As far as I was concerned, the offer was on the table, the car was on the lot, and the deal was made, as long as the tradein came through at an acceptable number. I walked in on Saturday in the morning when the dealership opened per the phone conversation I had with the internet sales rep the night before, I sat down with the floor sales rep, we filled out some paperwork, we did a preliminary tradein inspection outside, and we sat back down in the show room to start more paperwork and get the key to take a test drive for the car I made the offer on. We encountered an issue in which someone had walked in at the same time that morning and made an offer on the same car, and the paperwork was signed and the deal had been made with that buyer. I was upset at first, but luckily, Laura my sales rep offered to negotiate with the buyer and sales rep to see if they could accomodate both of us. Turns out the other buyer wanted the car but preferred a different color. So it all worked out in the end, the dealership worked a dealer trade with the other buyer and got him the color he preferred, and I left with the car I came in to purchase. I made a suggestion to the dealership that when a situation like this arises in the future (an offer is made by a customer over phone and an appointment is scheduled for tradein appraisal to close the deal) this should put the car on hold unless the deal falls through. I was surprised to receive a call from the Vice President the next day, he apologized for the inconvenience and assured me that he would go over this with the sales team and attempt to implement a process preventing a similar issue from occurring in the future. Given the circumstances, I was satisfied with Laura's help in negotiating for the car that I wanted after it had been purchased by another buyer, and I was happy to see that the Vice President of the dealership called with concern about my customer service experience. More
As we stepped inside the Sale's Department, Thomas came straight to welcome us with a smile face talking. This is a good way to approach a customer, no matter's who. We felt comfortabe around him. When the negotiation price didn't work out, Thomas let us relaxed and let us offered the reasonable price. Thomas didn't give up on us. His persuasive made us buy the car. My husband and I are so glad we chose Ardmore Toyota for our recent car purchase. We knew we wanted a Prius and it just so happened this dealership had the most available. Thank goodness because the level o our recent car purchase. We knew we wanted a Prius and it just so happened this dealership had the most available. Thank goodness because the level of customer service was excellent! The staff was extremely knowledgeable and treated us with respect by honoring our own knowledge and opinions. They helped us decide on which package to get and assisted with financing options. Q and the rest of the staff did everything possible to make sure we got the car we wanted by keeping our requests in check (we wanted knew we wanted the Solar Roof but did not want leather seats) and kept us informed every step of the way with weekly updates as to our car's arrival. It really was a pleasure working with the staff at Ardmore Toyota! We truly appreciate the extra time we were given to make sure we had no unanswered questions about the car's features, navigation system, performance, roadside assistance program, etc. It was a great experience and we are so happy to be driving the perfect car for us! My visit to Ardmore Toyota was very enjoyable. They have an excellent team of employees there.
