Excellent buying experience; terrible detailing service Although Pam and Dillon, in Sales were great, and Randy in Finance knows his stuff, it wasn't a perfect experience. I was given a fair trade value, and the invoice price we worked from was less than the "X-Plan" my company offers. We didn't even test drive the vehicle; that's how comfortable we were with buying from Cochrane. Here's the down side. The SUV had been setting outside in the elements for a long time, and really needed a good detailing. The group that does that at the dealership is either ill-trained, incompetent, or they just don't give a xxxx, or some combination thereof. Water spots everywhere, marks from stickers on the windshield, ALL windows in need of serious cleaning. Without a doubt, the dirtiest new vehicle I've ever picked up, and counting company vehicles, I've probably had 20 new ones over the years. Extremely disappointing. If I'd been offered a coupon for a half-decent detailing at one of the detailers in town, I would not be writing this. I wasn't offered a solution, so I know what I'll be doing this weekend. More

However, I had done my research and was eyeing one particular Explorer Sport on the Archie lot. The salesman, Taylor, was great from the start. We were anxious to test drive but he slowed us down and took the time to show us all the big and little features about the Sport before we hit the road. He knew his stuff, for sure. Without pressuring towards one model or another he made sure the Explorer was the size we wanted. The salesperson personality always factors into my buying decision, and Taylor definitely passed the test. Enthusiastic, but not over-the-top, and he answered all our questions. Randy knew his stuff, too, and explained all the financing and warranty options well. We were happy to drive home in the Sport I picked out! Ask for Taylor if you can. More
