My experience buying a car from Marc and this dealership couldn’t have been better. I wasn’t 100% sure what I realistically wanted vs needed and I never felt pressured or like my best interests weren’t in m couldn’t have been better. Beware of Umansky Toyota! !!!! Our daughter signed an agreement to purchase a car on Wed. 3-5-2025. She placed $3000 down to hold the car until Friday 3-7-2025. We went with !!!! Our daughter signed an agreement to purchase a car on Wed. 3-5-2025. She placed $3000 down to hold the car until Friday 3-7-2025. We went with her today to just finish paying for the car and drive it home. We SAT in the dealerships waiting area for 2 hours before anyone really started to wait on us. When they did A Sales Manager approached us and explained that there was an error on the price of the car. He tried to explained that they(our daughter) had missed an addendum to the sticker price. There were $1200 worth of accessories on the car that we would need to pay for, he initially tried to blame our daughter for missing the addendum, when she looked at the car on 3-5 it was dark and the addendum was taped to a tinted back window away from the window sticker. This kind of blind sided us because our daughter had already put $3000 down and we thought it was just a formality to come in and finish the purchase. After we said that this did not seem right (and after some back and forth not so pleasant discussions) he came back and offered to close the deal for another $600. Again we said no this was not her mistake and why should our daughter have to pay for their mistake. All the while the salesman was swapping the license plates to and from our daughters car to the new car, this went back and forth for about 1 hour. The sales manager then came back and said he could close the deal for another $400, my wife initially said yes. (She just wanted the get the deal done and was tired now going on 3 hours) Now the plates were placed back on the new car!!!! I looked at my daughter and asked her if she wanted to continue with the purchase. She looked at me and said NO, every time I get into THAT car I am going to think about how horrible of a sales experience I had here. We told them that we did not want the car any longer. To add insult to injury we asked for a refund of the $3000 down payment, the sales manager said we would have to wait until Monday because the business manager had already left for the day. Since the down payment was made with a credit card we figured they could have just issued a refund to the credit card!!!! We were informed the business manager worked until 5:00 and she was gone. I am just wondering how they took the down payment in the first place because it was done after 5:00pm on Wednesday. WE had heard about all the horrible dealing people had with car dealers but never thought it would happen to us. Maybe they thought they could just prey on a female car buyer and she would not question the bait and switch tactics of a unethical car dealership. The salesman seemed very nice and apologetic but I don't know if this was all part of the game!!! Our daughter is now going to go look at a Mazda because she feels totally betrayed. ALL I CAN TELL YOU SHE WILL NOT GO BACK TO THAT DEALERSHIP. SHE HAS ASKED US TO GO IN AND GET THE REFUND OF THE DOWNPAYMENT. More
