Prices listed on CarFax are not real. I offered $22k—the listed price—in cash and was countered $26,700 after a 40-minute wait, because I was paying cash! They also falsified a number of documents in an attempt to steal my EV tax credit. If you scroll almost to the bottom of the listing, you will find the heading, “Dealer Information.” There will be a drop-down-arrow, and if you click on that, it will bring you to a wall of text. About halfway down, there is a clause that states: “SPECIAL INTERNET PRICING IS BASED ON DEDUCTING ALL ADVERTISED DISCOUNTS, Military, Government employee, Student and VA resident. TOTAL PRICES ON VEHICLES MAY VARY. Alpha Motorsports makes every effort to provide the most accurate information about a vehicle. Some of the options and equipment listed on the window sticker may not be available on the vehicle. The dealership will not be responsible for any inaccurate information about a vehicle.” Obviously no one can be a government *and* a military employee, much less a full-time student. . They also refused to provide me title when I took possession of the vehicle after paying cash! This place is CRAZY. More
Falsified documents, deceptive prices, hour wait times between “offers” that escalate as you wait, screaming, bullying, and intimidation tactics. This place has it all! Expect all of your offers to be sho between “offers” that escalate as you wait, screaming, bullying, and intimidation tactics. This place has it all! Expect all of your offers to be shown to you on the “manager’s” phone screen, after you have waited 45 minutes. Nothing will be presented in writing. They list a reasonable price on the listing (within blue book range), but if you scroll all the way down to “Dealer Information,” and click on the down-arrow, they have a tiny clause hidden in the wall of text that says: “SPECIAL INTERNET PRICING IS BASED ON DEDUCTING ALL ADVERTISED DISCOUNTS, Military, Government employee, Student and VA resident. So their listed price is fiction. My experience: I offered the $22k asking price in cash. They countered with $26,700, because I was paying in cash, they said I would have to pay *more* than someone financing a car! I also did not meet the four criteria for their discounted price (previous paragraph). They pointed me to the tiny print hidden in the Dealer Information drop-down on Carfax. I told them it had to be under $25k, because I planned to get the $4k EV rebate, and they came back with an almost $29k offer, with a 4K tire warranty! We had been there four hours, and were starting to leave when they suddenly offered the Buyers Agreement for $24,999. I told them I did not want their tire warranty, but they assured me it was a gift—offset by the supposed $4k “downpayment,” (that they photoshopped out of the same document sent to the Motor Vehicle Dealer Board). It wasn’t until the next day, that I started to connect the dots, and noticed all the discrepancies in the other documents. My experience involved manipulating, cursing, yelling, slamming tables, lock-ins, bait ‘n switches, really the whole 9 yards of a classic, scummy car dealer. It started when Nas claimed I agreed to stu slamming tables, lock-ins, bait ‘n switches, really the whole 9 yards of a classic, scummy car dealer. It started when Nas claimed I agreed to stuff which I didn’t, and was very angry when I denied it. We got into an argument and eventually he said, “xxxx you” and slammed the table very hard to try to scare me into submission. A very sudden change from the comparably polite attitude from two days prior. We decided we didn’t really want to buy anymore, because the agreements were not what we thought, but too bad! They had us sign an unimposing page which stated a no refunds policy, so take your deal or lose all of your money. Could’ve put some more emphasis there that we were agreeing to never get our money back when we signed that paper. They also didn’t really seem to understand the clean vehicle tax credit. I told them that what they were planning wouldn’t work, and they said, in that case, they would, “come for me to get the money.” Altogether, anger, violence, threats, it’s just hard to have a positive opinion after all that. Plus, they never told me about a cracked skylight and made me sign an as-is, these guys must read books on how to be classic used car salesmen. In hindsight, even our favorite guy, Steven, who was our sales person and seemed very friendly and polite could’ve just been playing part of some ‘good cop bad cop’ scheme they cooked up. On the bright side, at least you get free cold drinks.bbbb More
