Progression is inevitable but can only be achieved fully by valuing humanity to the fullest! The dealership experience has been altered with the changing of the times via the internet, consumer expectations, and even employees expectations. Sometimes life throws you so much, you forget who the man or woman is behind the name tag. - This is not the case regarding Dave Sedgley! My name is Cody Wells. I am one of the world’s leading experts in my field. I am a small business owner and a proud father of an 18 year old son that lives in Perrinton Michigan. He is an athlete that has had two major sports related concussions that he has 100% recovered from. He is a respectful, hard working intelligent student that anyone would proud to call their child! Now for story time - When he was 15 my dream was to give him the car when I had when I was 16. I searched for months till I found that car in Omaha Nebraska! I bought it sight unseen and had it shipped to my family’s home in St. Joseph Missouri. Then later that year I took it to the local for dealer and told them make it new again and gave them an open checkbook! When it was finished I flew from Nyc to Missouri with my daughter to pick up the car and drive the 800 miles to Perrinton to surprise him with it that August! (Side note - his birthday is in January but I had the car painted to match the colors of his favorite NFL team the Detroit Lions and around January time his opinion of them is very negative!) When I arrived near his home I ran it through a car wash and put a giant red bow on the hood. I drove up to his mothers home when he was outside shooting hoops and saw him cry as a young adult for the very first time! It was one of the greatest moments of my life! I have taken the time to tell you this story for one simple reason. Their is value and a history with each and every consumer that walks through your doors. My son happiness and safety are my number 1 concern. Dave has exceeded my exceptions in regards to protecting not just my sons safety in driving a car that’s over 30 years old. He has earned my trust by just being a nice guy that wants to do the right thing. It sounds so simple doesn’t it? It took to long and I was not treated right It sucked my appointment was for April 22 . I dropped my truck off May 6 . They called me up and said it needs a axle seal. And said that would be over $800.00 . I had another garage do the work $305.00. More
overall attitude I went their with the intention of getting the same service I have always received but that was not the case. I had an appointment arrived on time and then proceeded to wait two hours to have my snow tires removed and the my regular tires put on. In the past this was never the case and I was angry about it. The only one that showed any kindness or good attitude was Dave Blasko in the service department who told me he was sorry for the wait. I have bought three Ford Flexes from this dealership in the past. I guess it time to look elsewhere for what feeling I had before. The attitude of the people there is one of business only no caring about the customer anymore, no saying hello or how is it going or is there anything else I can do for you, I am sadly disappointed at this point. I have to come back one more time for warranty work we will see if the atmosphere has changed or gotten better before I decide to look elsewhere for another dealership with the right attitude about the customer who might buy the next car there. More
