honestly, i was reluctant at 1st to even go to a ford dealership becuase of the nightmares i have had at other dealerships for leasing a new car. its been about 10 years since ive been shopping around an dealership becuase of the nightmares i have had at other dealerships for leasing a new car. its been about 10 years since ive been shopping around and i knew i had to take the plunge because my old car was on its way out. i cant put in words the level of curtsy that was shown to me before i even walked through the door. I had spoken to john selman who is probaly the busiest person at ford yet he still had time for me to take an unkown call from a RANDOM number and personally put me in touch with one of his most professional salesman,,,Carlos Marin. Wow. This guy blew me away with the amount of professionalism and respect he showed me. i have heard horror stories of people buying or leasing a new car and their only problem was that they probably didn't go to Ford of Hackensack and work with Carlos Marin. this guy took all the bad things out of dealing with Salesmen and made a believer out of me. not only did he sell me on a new car but he sold me on being a member of the ford family of Hackensack. there was no cheap sales talk or the typical back and fourth that most people go through when dealing with buying a new car. Carlos sat with me and took his time because it was a big purchase for me and he treated me in way where i was not just another sale to him. he took his time and explained the car to me and even offered me lunch while i was waiting. he also explained the special platform package to me 3 times to make sure i had the option of taking it. what a guy, what a dealership, what a truck . I live in Virginia, so I had to deal with Anthony Girratono (sales manager) via phone (text, voice, and email). I had to follow up with him to even receive the details on the Ford Raptor I wanted to Girratono (sales manager) via phone (text, voice, and email). I had to follow up with him to even receive the details on the Ford Raptor I wanted to purchase. His responses were very short and uninterested. I asked if it was possible for the dealership to pick me up from the airport (after I had put a deposit on the vehicle, and booked a flight). He texted back indicating I was better off taking a cab. No explanation, no thank yous, nothing. He acted as though my purchasing the vehicle from them was a favor to me. So, I took my business to another dealer (also not local to me) who made an effort to be informative, respond quickly and be as accommodating to me as possible. More

I am a salesperson in the foodindustry. In this time of companies distinguishing themselves from others to gain an edge on their competitors in a highly competitive market, they urge their employees to set companies distinguishing themselves from others to gain an edge on their competitors in a highly competitive market, they urge their employees to set themselves above and beyond what a normal work day would be. In my company as in others in the sales department, we do not like to be called sales people, rather more of a consultant. When you hear, "salesman", you want to shut the door. Larry Rubin in my mind was not a salesman, rather a consultant, which in my mind is what I want when dealing with purchasing something. He set himself above and beyond others I was dealing with in deciding what car to buy. Larry was obviously there to make a sale, let's be realistic here. The difference here is, he was a consultant. He greeted me respectfully, he asked open ended questions figuring out what my needs were. He came up with solutions for me, and here we are, I am driving in a new vehicle that I am happy with. It was a long process that we went through but that's what happens when you are making an important decision in life. From beginning to end, Larry was a true professional and really represented his company very well. I will recommend him and the dealer to others looking for a new car. The dealership made it comfortable while I was there and I even enjoyed a beverage and some delicious popcorn. More
The overall experience buying the new ford mustang from this dealer was smooth, quick and easy. We already were set on the model we wanted and the salesman was a pleasure to deal with.
