My Girlfriend bought a New Tacoma from this dealership that was lifted by them. When we test drove the vehicle the tires rubbed bad at 3/4 turn. We went back and told them we wanted the truck but would ne that was lifted by them. When we test drove the vehicle the tires rubbed bad at 3/4 turn. We went back and told them we wanted the truck but would need the tires switched from 35” to 34”. Sales manager said not a problem along with a couple little things. We also got the protection coat installed at this time. When we got the truck back it had 33” tires and burn marks in the paint from I am assuming the polisher. When I brought it to the attention of the service department representative he said oh we gave you 33” tires because we would of had to cut the fender if we went bigger. Really that why your dealership put 35” tires on it to begin with (not cutting of fender then). They also said that the paint would be rubbed out and it was in the clear coat. I showed them the spot again and it was definitely not in the clear coat. So we go to pick up truck again for the second time and low and behold 34” tires no rubbing no cutting oh and paint was redone with no issues (we thought). Drive truck for a few thousand miles and a severe vibration starts to happen in the steering wheel. Back to dealer. Service department said leave it here we will get to it tomorrow. Well it sat in the same location for 5 days and my girlfriend received a phone call that said they couldn’t find or feel anything wrong with the truck. So I go down and ask for a tech to take a test drive and while I was waiting a services tech came out and said hey man I drove this truck and totally felt the vibration and told the service department about it. I told the man thank you and waited for the tech manager to take a drive. Test drive results Tech told me he could hear and felt the vibration. So I said so since you say you heard and felt it you will update your service team And get it fixed. His response well sir I can’t say I felt it. Are you serious I said well it needs to get fixed because this is not acceptable. I told them I had done some research and it sounded like a spine bushing they looked at me like they didn’t know what that was so i told them to youtube it. Again more wait time and another week goes by and guess what its a spine bushing and they replaced it and it should be good. We pick it up it feels good for a week or so and a shimmy in the steering wheel starts to arise at 72mph so I have a alignment tech inspect it and he said oh it doesn’t have the leveling bracket for the driveshaft. They didn’t install it when they put the lift in. Oh wait it gets worse. 2 days later it starts having a loud popping noise in the front end. Girlfriend takes it in and they tell her oh we didn’t have you come back in at 2K miles to retorque bolts on the lift sorry our bad. WTH!! So they retorque everything call her ip the next day tell her ots ready to go. So we take it 4-5 days later and it pops again on me this time. So guess what back to Albany Toyota where the service department guy (short hispanic with a beanie) tells me that oh it lifted and we don’t warranty that. I said you guys had it lifted we bought it from you that way. He said well its probably just rubbing and we don’t warranty the lift. So at this time ai am tired of dealing with him and ask to speak to his Manager which he says oh he is on a meeting at won’t be available. I said I’ll wait when I asked how long it would be he was available right away. Weird thought he was in a meeting. We have had nothing but issues with the young men who are at the service department they are rude and lie constantly. Do not want to help anyone out. I won’t even get into them telling my girlfriend she doesn’t need an oil change every 5K miles um excuse me thats not your decision when we get our oil changed its ours. We didn’t ask for it to be free. Last truck or car purchase from this dealership More
