In January 2012, I came from the Philadelphia suburbs to look at a used 2010 F150. I searched all up and down the east coast for a truck with specific color and options. I was trading in a 2011 Mustang that look at a used 2010 F150. I searched all up and down the east coast for a truck with specific color and options. I was trading in a 2011 Mustang that had equity which I expected to use to keep a reasonable car payment. After making the appointment and driving almost 2 hours, the salesman, Greg Boone, immediately steered me towards this new 2011 F150 saying that he could give me a better deal on it because it was a left over. While nice, this truck lacked many of the features that I was looking for, most importantly, SYNC, which I had on my Musatng and had grown very fond of. Greg assured me multiple times that SYNC could be installed as a Dealer Installed Option. All my research had told me differently, but he was insistent that he would make sure that I would be getting this trcuk with SYNC and the options I wanted in a better deal then I would get on the used truck. They were not able to finish all the numbers and financing that night so I was told I would get a call the next day and that I could come down and finish the deal. The next day, Greg called me while I was in line at the Home Depot to let me know everything was done and I could come down and take delivery of the truck. Not being able to ask all my questions while standing in line, I ended the call and once I got back in the car, I attempted to call Greg back to find out what the terms of the loan would be and what was the status of SYNC and the other options I wanted. Each time the call went to his voicemail. Once I drove all the way down there and had everything ready to turn over to the dealer, I learned that the sales associates don't have their phone at their desk, their phone is a mobile phone they keep in their pocket. A phone with Caller ID, so Greg would know that it was me calling again and again. I was then taken to the Finance Office where the manager told me that I was looking at a monthly payment of over $600. Almost double what I was paying on the Mustang (with all my options). Stunned, I flat out refused. Greg knew that if he had told me that information when I was 2 hours away that I would never have driven down there. Instead, he chose to lure me into the dealership where after all this work, I wouldn't want to leave empty handed. They were finally able to bring the price down $50 a month which was more than I was comfortable paying, but exhausted after feeling like I had been beat up, I gave in and agreed to terms. At this point I wish I could say that was as bad as it got. Once we got to the point where they were indicate the items they were going to install at the dealer, most noteably, SYNC, I was told that the payment didn't include those items and that I couldn't have them included in the loan. The finance guy couldn't give me a solid answer about SYNC because the parts dept was closed. I expressed my dissatisfaction with Greg and the whole dealership multiple times and all anyone could say was sorry. I waited for over an hour for the truck to be prepared for delivery. When it was delivered, Greg was no where to be found. I was handed the keys and that was it. No one when over any of the features, no one asked me if I had any questions. I didn't even get a full tank of gas. I was told the dealer policy was to give $30 worth of gas. This was after I had driven hundreds of miles over 2 days and would have almost a 100 mile drive home. Because it was dark when I took delivery, I couldn't see several things. One, someone had used the truck in some sort of mud as I found mud up in the wheel wells and mud caked on the brake pedal and emergency brake. I found dog hair on the back seat and floor and several scratches along the passenger side door and side of the bed. On Monday I had to go back down to the dealer to get the bedliner I was promised and I could get no one to talk to me. While I waited for the bed liner to be installed. I checked with the parts department the parts manager advised me that there is SYNC cannot be installed by the dealer and that there never has been a kit to do so. I now had finaly realized that I had been completely taken for a ride. I was sold a truck that had none of the options I wanted and blantantly lied to regarding those options. I gave up a well equiped vehicle with low mileage and a reasonable car payment. I was backed into corner with a loan and payment that was outside my budget. And a dealership that was only concerned about moving a vehicle. I was nothing but a sales stat on a board, certainly not a customer. Over then next few weeks, I received calls from employees of the dealership asking to sell me some of those "options" I had been looking for like reverse sensors, remote start and a "bluetooth" system to supposedly replace SYNC. The prices were so bloated it only added to the insult that I was nothing but a dollar sign to them. One employee even sent me an e-mail asking if he could set up an appointment so he could go over all of the features of the SYNC system that came with my new truck. I of course explained in great detail to these people what had happened. I was assured that it would be brought to the attention of the General Manager. I completed two Satisfaction Surverys from Ford where I detailed this whole fiasco. At no point has anyone from the dealer ever contacted me in an attempt to right this wrong. I have been a Ford customer for 30 years and I have bought many cars and trucks in my day. This was by far the worst buying experience I have ever encountered. My next step will be to contact Dearborn and file a formal complaint. This was an example of predatory business practices. More
We shopped several Ford dealers and Al packer had the largest inventory to choose from, in fact they had our exact truck in stock. So we were worried that they wouldnt negotiate on it because they were t largest inventory to choose from, in fact they had our exact truck in stock. So we were worried that they wouldnt negotiate on it because they were the only ones that had the exact truck we wanted. Mr. Silverman was very helpful and knowledgeable and we were able to negotiate a really good price on the truck. Our trade in was appraised at close to what we expected and wasnt rolled into the numbers like some dealers do to confuse you. They put the trade in number seperate so we could see the actual value of it--which i appreciated. Mr. Lefko was able to get us a great interest rate and the whole process went very smoothly. They also gave me 2 years of free maintenance--WOW i wasnt expecting that. I would definately reccamend Al Packer because of their selection and the candidness of the people who work there. More
I had a bab experience back in 1997 and said I would would never return, however I did return on Friday Feb 10, 2012 to find out that nothing has changed. this company has absolutely no integrity and t would never return, however I did return on Friday Feb 10, 2012 to find out that nothing has changed. this company has absolutely no integrity and they know it and still come at you with lieing sales tactics. The prices on their web site is only a bait and switch tacktic to get you in the door. They admitted it is very misleading to the consumers. The sales manager continued lieing all through the buying process. I won't bore you with the details, I WILL JUST WARN YOU, STAY AWAY FROM THIS DEALERSHIP. I went to Bob Davidson Ford on Joppa road and they were able to help with frindliness and integrity. More
What a waste of my time, I had my truck in there for body work only because of insurance reasons. I then picked it up only to find that they did not completely repair my bumper and then they acted as if they work only because of insurance reasons. I then picked it up only to find that they did not completely repair my bumper and then they acted as if they were doing me a favor by correcting it, I then had paint cracking and falling off my bumper about 2 weeks after it was painted. I have never seen that before in my life and I had it looked at by other body shops and they laughed at the fact that they said that paint is supposed to fall off completly if there is impact to the bumper. They blamed me for the damage and the paint falling off what a way to treat a first time customer. This has been the WORSE EXPERIENCE EVER with any body shop since I was able drive. More
I was told that in order to get a lower rate I had to buy an extended waranty. Lucky I was able to cancel the service warranty because it was within 30 days. Also the dealer advertised 7000k off but said "th an extended waranty. Lucky I was able to cancel the service warranty because it was within 30 days. Also the dealer advertised 7000k off but said "that included rebates you don't qualify for". I don't believe there was that many rebates offer by ford that added up to that amount. I was pressured in to a near bad deal. Advice for buyers when negotiating take a minute alone to think. I was a seasoned buyer a should have walk out and found a dealer that felt I could trust. More
I purchased a used Mercedes from the dealer and 2 days later the car broke down. Took it in to service and they stated nothing was wrong with car. I left the dealer and took it to Mercedes dealer. The Mer later the car broke down. Took it in to service and they stated nothing was wrong with car. I left the dealer and took it to Mercedes dealer. The Mercedes service center report was that the torque converter censor was bad. When I returned to Al Packer to notify them of the outcome, the Sales Manager of Al Packer told me after I just purchased the car that if I wanted a new car I should have bought one. Is that customer service, or standing behind your product. Please do not give them the satisfaction of your service. Westminster, MD Michael Smith 443-277-2979 More

The sad part is that we purchased one of the most expensive vehicles on their lot and were treated with complete disrespect and lack of interest. There was no professionalism . Mr. Silverman had basically no knowledge of thge vehicle. I asked if it had a heated steering wheel and he said yes..but it didn't. We were comparing to the Jeep SRT-8. He stated they had 2 in stock and was unsure where the 2nd Raptor was located, when we walked into the show room it was sitting behind his desk! (REALLY). He then went through the motions, but by his demeaner and attitude acted like maybe we were way out of our price range. We discussed financing and he said 5-6 %. We explained to him that the credit was perfect and the jeep dealership was less than 3%. His body language, the shrug of shoulders, and smirk suggested he didn't believe our credit to be that good. When I asked him if we could have 10 mins to discuss the deal he would not leave and said something about closing time and what more did we need to discuss because he had offered a great deal. His pushiness was unbelievable. Mr. Silverman needs to learn that there are folks out there who do communicate and are respectful of each others opinion! At this point we were ready to purchase but he was so obnoxiously annoying that we choose to leave. We tried to locate another like vehicle but could not, therefore returned. Only to receive more unacceptable treatment. On our return there was minimal eye contact and no thank you or handshakes for the deal. Mr. Silverman had little to say when our credit came back at 4 points from perfect! We did have a check in hand for $41,000. He knew we were coming for delivery and we had to stand around and wait for him to run around and seemingly do what should have already to be done. The finance guy was business like, however lacked personality. I had left a zipped small attache case in his office and when I asked him if i could look in his office for it he was offensive and stated "IT IS NOT THERE, I WOULD HAVE SEEN IT WHEN YOU LEFT.". Fortunatley, Mr. Burgess the tech delivery manager who was going to go over the technology in the vehicle with us, heard the conversation. He walked me into the office and there was my case. He even shook his head. I then told him of our experience. He stated he would report our concerns. On return for delivery we were told service waS closed and there was no way we could get a front tag holder and would have to return. We asked to just have one to put on ourself and was told no. Mr. Silverman did know beforehand we needed one. There must have ben 100 vehicles on the lot that had the same holder. You know held on with 2 screws! Oh, Mr Silverman did say it would take 40 mins. to install. We did find that Mr. Silverman had given us one with the old tag that he put in the backseat. Should he not have known he gave us one? Maybe not, because he was not pleased when we wanted to transfer tags and he had to take them off the trade-in. I could go on and on about the poor experience, but it just infuriates me to know that after complaining nothing was done. Lastly, let me share that Mr. Silverman never thanked us or shook hands merely just disappeared and told us that another person would be going over the instrumentation with us. MY SUGGESTION IS TO LOOK ELSEWHWRE IF PURCHASING. OTHER THEN MR. BURGESS (THE TECH DELIVERY MANAGER) WHO WAS VERY NICE NO ONE IN THE DEALERSHIP SHOWED ANY THANKFULNESS OR RESPECT FOR US. THE LADY IN THE MIDDLE WAS RUDE, THE FINANCE GUY WAS ARROGANT, MANAGER WAS INSOLENT AND MR. SILVERMAN UNPOLISHED. More

I qualified to buy my truck by myself at 6% interest. I wanted to have my wife listed on the title. Salesman told me if my wife was to be listed we could get a lower interst rate but she would have to be l wanted to have my wife listed on the title. Salesman told me if my wife was to be listed we could get a lower interst rate but she would have to be listed as the buyer, which we did. I found out later when buying a car for our son that my wife did not have to be listed as the buyer for me to get the lower interst rate but she had only to be listed as co-buyer. I spoke with Lance Johnson about the problem first he refered me to John Lefco to correct the problem. I tried several times to call John Lefco and left messages but received no return calls as I wanted to correct the sales documents and have buyer changed to my name before the title was cut. Payment books are already received and are in her name only and not mine, I am the one paying for the truck. Coorespondents from Al packer only come in her name. Needles to say, I am very upset. IT IS MY TRUCK! More
I was car shopping and went to Al Packer Ford off Military Trail. The first visit was bad, the sales person was horrible. The Sales manager was nice and promised he would beat Ford Dealer in the Co Military Trail. The first visit was bad, the sales person was horrible. The Sales manager was nice and promised he would beat Ford Dealer in the County!! I decided to go back and got another sales person he was nice and we came to an agreement. Then Brian the Finance Manager stepped into the process. Said well, blah blah, more money, blah blah, we will see what we can do. I was approved for a loan and then was told the price of the car had changed!! It now was $4,000 more! My payment sky rocketed! I walked out and will never go back there again. Here is your warning, NEVER GO THERE, they will screw you. They give bad car sellers a worse name. More
