Calling in to get an appointment did not go smoothly. Called hourly from 8AM until 10 AM left two voicemails since there was not a live person available to take the call. Finally called a service rep Called hourly from 8AM until 10 AM left two voicemails since there was not a live person available to take the call. Finally called a service rep I knew from a previous service call, and was given a time that same day. Dropping the car off was smooth, they pointed out that my headlights needed buffing which was a service I didn't know existed. The original reason for the visit was a Check Engine Light. This all took place at 6PM on a Thursday. No word on the car at 4:45PM the following day so I called in. Everyone busy, but a live person said someone would call me back (original service rep was on holiday). Long story short, when the back up rep finally connected with me an hour later, it was obvious the car had not been touched. Called back in an hour said I had a leak in my tank fill funnel, car should be OK to drive, no discussion on price to make it right, she agreed to waive the diagnostic fee. I asked to have the headlights buffed out, said no problem, it would be done on Saturday. At 1:45 PM on Saturday, no word on when it would be ready, I called in. A receptionist said someone would call me back. No one called back, I called in again, got the same receptionist who apologized, put me on hold, and eventually came back and said it was ready. Came by to pick the car up, it's pouring down rain. Paid the cashier, while the service rep said she would have it brought around. Waited 20 minutes outside, no car. Hunted down the General Manager who was out, expressed my concern to the assistant mgr who gave me the GM's card and the service rep's card. Waited another 10 minutes, and then loudly demanded my keys. Keys were given to me, went out in the rain, found my car and left. Sent an email to the General Manager outlining my concern around seeing the Acura brand so maltreated. Sent it return receipt, know he got it, zero response. So long as you are willing to do your own legwork and push the car through their system, the actual mechanical work is probably OK. I expected something better on the customer support side though from an Acura facility like this one, which these folks were unable to provide. More

I live very close to the dealership. So when I was shopping 2007 MDX, I sent email asking for the quote. The reply came back one day later. The price in the quote was in the middle range. I told th shopping 2007 MDX, I sent email asking for the quote. The reply came back one day later. The price in the quote was in the middle range. I told the sales that I had better quotes, and indicated that I would buy from him if the price is right because I lived close by. He came back saying I needed to show him the better quote, and used pushy words like "buy today?". I attached one of the better quote and told him that the earliest time of buy is the weekend in the email. That was it, I wait three days without hearing from him until Friday that he sent email again saying he did not receive my email and was doing follow-up. I replied that I sent him email three days ago with attached better quote from another dealer. Two days llater, another guy from the same dealership sent me email asking me whether I was still shopping for the vehicle. I told him I have bought the vehicle from another dealer and the sales from your dealership is not responsive. That was the end of the story More

Great sales team, and in fact I sent my cousin 2 years later to purchase her TSX there as well. As for service, its was good, until about a year and a half ago when it went down the drain. First there is/was this asian woman there that was rude to say the least. All of a sudden they started to charge a document handling fee. Its small, but its on every invoice, like 2 bucks. So, when I asked what the charge was for, I was thrown the two dollars by the bi**h of the service advisor and was told that I should take the money if I was complaining about 2 bucks. Well you only imagine what I did, complained like there was no tomorrow, wrote even to corporate. they sugar coated the entire incident and made it seem like a mis-understanding. To make a long story short - never went back there, in fact I told everyone that I know (about 5) people to never return there again. Also a side note on that same visit I was quoted an ridiculous price of 500 dollars to "look" at some problem I was having with the gas pedal, did not do it. For your cheap and great service needs, I recommend a better place in San Ramon that only performs factory service. I won't mention the name, but im sure if you've shopped around, you know what im talking about. Beleive me, you won't be disapointed. After that incident, I never have gone back to the dealer, even though I was a long time customer (over 4 years). Its a shame, but they stuck it to themselves. Hope you think twice before going there. If you have to pay for something, (non warranty items) look on the later part of your invoice, and ask them what the document maintenance fee is for... They will be puzzled beleive me! More

I would highly recommend buying a new car from Greg Boynton at Acura of Pleasanton. To appreciate my experience, let me explain what happened at another dealership... At a dealership in the Santa Boynton at Acura of Pleasanton. To appreciate my experience, let me explain what happened at another dealership... At a dealership in the Santa Clara Valley, a salesman told me on the phone that I could not borrow a car (an MDX) for an extended test drive. "Against company policy," he said. But, he said, if I came in at 4:00pm, he would go with me on the test drive. So, I drove 35 minutes across town to find that he was in the middle of a sale and was not available. I understand the importance of a sale, but a simple phone call to reschedule would have been polite. However, another salesperson overheard this conversation and approached me with a "Borrowed Car" form. "No problem," he said. "Just take the car, drive it, and I'll see you back here in an hour-and-a-half." What happened to the dealership's "No Borrowing" policy? Pretty shabby customer treatment. Yesterday, I was at that same dealership where I was lied to, again. I was promised me a specific price for a new MDX with Acura's 3.9%/48mo. financing. The saleman had previously said that "On my word" this deal is available and was approved by a sales manager ("J.T."). However, nothing was ever put in writing. "Against company policy, until a contract is signed," he explained. When I went to the dealership, with money in my pocket, the sales manager explained that it didn't mater what the salesman had said - that deal was not available with the financing. He said that it didn't matter what the other "sales manager" had promised because he was not "in" today. On top of that, this manager's attitude was VERY rude! All I got was Lies, Lies and more Lies. Now, for the GOOD news! That afternoon, I went to Acura of Pleasanton and dealt with Greg Boynton. Not only did I get the exact car for $250 LESS than the other dealership's best offer, but also got the 3.9% financing and they will deliver the car from Pleasanton to my home in San Jose after the optional accessories are installed! Apparently, the deal I had been promised is available -- you just have to find a dealership where they treat you like an intelligent human being. Call Greg at Acura of Pleasanton and see if he treats you like I was treated. If so, you'll be very happy. More
