Stressful, Unprofessional, Rude, and Waste of time! Acura of Berlin was a time consuming, misleading disappointment. Initially, I called up the store and asked for the price on a specific vehicle, pending a $5000 dollar deposit on my part. He put me on hold and came back on the phone a few minutes later with a price of $319 a month. I agreed to buy the car, and put down the deposit. Next thing you know, I get a call saying that I CAN’T have the car and did not qualify because, although I own a business and provided proof of a pretty steady, pretty substantial stream of revenue, I did not have pay stubs and therefore did not qualify. I asked if there was anything I could use in lieu of paystubs, or if there were any way around it and I was told that if I could not provide pay stubs then I did not qualify and could not have the car. Mind you, I was already told I could have the car, already filled out paper work, and already put down a $5000 deposit. Frustrated I called up my initial sales rep and asked if he could do something about the situation. Eventually I got a call that I COULD have the car and they were mistaken. So after jumping through all of those hoops, I went to go sign the final papers and now the car was $400, plus another $20 for the warranty! So it went from $319 a month to $400 a month, $100 more than they told me. Then when I get the car and I’m ready to leave, he walks me to the door and says ‘I can’t show you how to use that car, or how to use anything IN that car, we sell Acuras not Inifinitis, so Good LUCK!’. I left feeling frustrated, appalled at the service I received, drained from the emotional tug of war of being told I could have the car and then I could not have the car and then I could have the car again, and disgusted with the parting words from the sales rep. I own my own business and was always taught through many years working in customer service and training employees under me as well, that you always help the customer with whatever they need and if you don’t know something, you tell them you will find somebody who does. He practically scoffed at my choice in car, and said ‘I can’t help you with your car so good luck’. Acura of Berlin was the most disappointing and stressful car buying experience, and I don’t recommend using them for anything other than masochistic intent. They haven’t even given me my plates yet! I’m still driving around with DEALER PLATES! The employees should be ashamed of themselves for misleading customers on price, and on the quality of their customer service. I’ve received better service at Mcdonald’s after midnight in a bad neighborhood. More

From the time that I walked into the dealer to the time that I left they were n I just wanted to say how much I am in love with my new 2016 white ILX. From the time that I walked into the dealer to the time that I left they were never pushy about buying the car they were very easy to work with and get me out of my old lease into my new car. This process would not have gone the way that it did without all the help from Gerald the one that helped us through the process. Was very smooth and quick with the transition. Would definitely recommend this dealer to my family and fiends!! More

He was very professional, always on time (which we really appreciated!) and so courteous and pleasant. No question was left unanswered. Every promise was fulfilled. His followup and professionalism were a breath of fresh air. Thanks to Gerry, Gino, who did a great job with the financing and Andre who helped pull the deal together and explained the tech package, synced my phone and contact list and showed me how to use the navigation, our experience at Acura of Berlin was, once again a great one! Would NOT negotiate and I'm happy I did NOT settle for it I went in Acura of Berlin to look at a certified pre-owned 2013 Acura ILX. It was white premium package with 30,950 miles on it. When I went to look a I went in Acura of Berlin to look at a certified pre-owned 2013 Acura ILX. It was white premium package with 30,950 miles on it. When I went to look at the car they were asking $20,500. They let me and my father test drive it without one of their employees with us which my father liked very much, but I had been car shopping for an ILX for quite some time now and was not willing to pay $20,500 for one with almost 31,000 miles on it. After attempting to negotiate they went to $20,200. They went on about how it was because it was certified with an extended warranty and the price can't get any better. I filled out some credit paperwork to run some numbers which was the biggest mistake I had ever made (especially as a first time car buyer). I was harassed day and night from a flood of emails, text messages and phone calls from the dealership. I ended up finding a 2013 black on black ILX premium package with 30,000 miles for $18,500. That car also came with a better extended warranty than what Acura had offered me. Unfortunately I am still flooded with letters in the mail from all the banks Acura ran my credit (almost 4 weeks later now), They also made getting my deposit back a nightmare that I paid in cash. Out of curiosity I went back onto the website to see if they still had the car...and they do except they lowered the price to $19,994...but I thought $20,200 was the absolute best they could do. Due to their lack of the ability to negotiate they lost a customer and I bought the car somewhere else and I could be any happier. P.S both cars came from an auction off of lease with only 1 previous owner. identical cars except for exterior color and a much better deal from another dealership. I bought mine from Hoffmans Auto in East Hartford. More
