Best Experience, No Hassel! I was in the market for quite some time looking for an SUV or a truck. I reached a point during the car buying process where I had zero tolerance for I was in the market for quite some time looking for an SUV or a truck. I reached a point during the car buying process where I had zero tolerance for lies after being deceived by Phil Smith Chevrolet. The finance individual at Phil Smith and I were on the same accord regarding the price we agreed. My toddler and I drove 8 hours to their establishment with expectations that I would be returning with a 2019 Traverse, but once I arrived and reviewed the documents they added an additional $5000 to our agreed price. I was shocked and upset after wasting my precious time. I drove back home. I resume my search again, and 4 months later as I was browsing online, I came across Accurate Automotive of Jacksonville and a beautiful Silverado. I was highly fond of the vehicle, but before I would fall in love I had to guarantee they would not weasel the agreed price from beneath me. To my surprise, my interaction with Tony was absolutely pleasant, but most of all he placed my needs forward. He understood that the last thing I wanted was another dealership wasting my time. Tony came into the office on his day off rather than telling me what day would have been best for him. He was flexible. Everything about my experience there was phenomenal and most of all Tony and Omar were amazing with my 22-month old daughter. Verbally agreed sale price; sold the car behind my back befo Late Friday (April 26, 2019) afternoon, the salesperson Anthony and I had a verbal (through text) agreed upon price. I said great I can come Sunday t Late Friday (April 26, 2019) afternoon, the salesperson Anthony and I had a verbal (through text) agreed upon price. I said great I can come Sunday to buy the car. They said they were closed on Sunday. I said okay; let’s talk on Monday about a good time for me to come that week to buy the car. The salesman, Anthony, even confirmed the sale price so there was no confusion, and ended the text conversation with “ok, let me know when you can come in”. As stated I could have bought the car Sunday but they were closed. But since I was in the area I thought I would stop by to take another look at the car. The car was not on the lot. I contacted Anthony on Monday morning and he said he sold the car Saturday. He said since he had a buyer he sold it. Anthony never called me to tell me he had a buyer Saturday and would be selling it. If so I would have gave my credit card number to hold it; or sent my wife or a friend up there to buy it. But again, no call or text he was selling it behind my back. Again, he had a deal to sell me the car: Period. Anthony said we would make an appointment for me to come and buy the car, then sold the car behind my back without even telling me. Everyone else thinking what I am thinking? Anthony (and this business) probably received a higher bid than mine on the car Saturday and sold it. Even though we had an agreed upon sale price. This company has no principles; no concept of basic right and wrong. So if they do this what else do they do with these cars when it comes to honesty about the vehicle’s history and mechanical condition? A dishonest person will always be dishonest. Please people; buy a car from a different store. Thank you More
