My name is Mark, general manager here at Absolute Auto Sales, Inc. I am responding to this review publicly after having responded privately and received no response. This was my reply redacted to respect privacy... Hello [Name], My name is Mark, general manager here at Absolute Auto Sales, Inc. I am responding to your review privately for now hoping we can resolve this issue before it goes live. Having sold the vehicle, there is probably very little we can do to change what happened, but maybe I could ask for a bit more understanding on your part. Respectfully, and to the point, I don't feel this review is complete and fair. To be clear, I was the person who behind all the decisions made in this matter, so I am very aware of what took place. We did in fact honor your deposit up until the point in which you called us and said that you would not be going forward with the sale. You had initially cancelled because...(redacted). Unfortunately, at the point at which you had called and cancelled, we immediately went to our waiting list on the vehicle and told the next person in line that they could come and test drive the vehicle. When you called and said that you had made other arrangements and would like to go forward, we had already committed to showing the vehicle to another customer. It wouldn't have mattered if it was a REGULAR customer or someone brand new, we had already made the vehicle available based on your cancellation. I told Lisa that we would have to give this customer first option and we'd call you if the vehicle was still available. I understand you may be disappointed that you could not purchase the vehicle as you had hoped, but in fairness, we followed all regular procedures and kept our word to everyone involved. In regards to Lisa's knowledge regarding financing, I would rather speak to you more privately about that, but to clarify a bit, we do not do our own financing, we submit applications to banks. All the banks have different guidelines and requirements so some answers we do not have until we submit your application. In regards to vehicle knowledge, if there was a question that went unanswered regarding the vehicle, I apologize. Honestly, I do not expect all of my associates to have a complete knowledge of every make and model vehicle on the road, however, I do expect them to refer to our expert service staff or our vehicle data base, and by doing so, answer any questions you might have. If that was not done, again, my sincerest apologies. [Name], I am hoping, with this explanation, you might see things differently and be willing to remove or edit your review accordingly. Again, I know it was disappointing to miss out on this sale, but I know you know we just responded to your cancellation as any dealer would. Respectfully, Mark Collins
