Typically, the service at ALM Kia is wonderful! That’s why we keep coming back. Most recently, I took our vehicle in for an inspection for a recall. A couple of weeks later, I received a text that the part was in. We drove all the way to Union City only to find out that the text was sent in error. It was two months later, when I finally got someone on the phone only to find out that the part had been there the entire time. Once the realization was made, Steven Hicks got me in that same weekend and within an hour or so, the part was replaced. Even though it took a couple of months to clear up the matter, I appreciate it the quick and thorough service to rectify the matter. More
Took car back next day. Received a car that was not ready for purchase. Was sold and not sent back to maintenance to confirm ANY of the work done by contractors. I was also called the N word multiple times by one of the salesmen in front of customers and employees. Told both the manager and GM and nothing was done. Maintenance was great with trying to help solve the issue without out of pocket expenses, but sales didn’t care at all. Once maintenance noticed issues that were supposed to be taken care of by their team, he immediately pulled the car in for work. I was contacted about 2 days later stating that sales would not allow him to send the car back to body even though the car did not come back to him to inspect. The body of my car started to fall apart at the front end, the next day after purchasing. I found out later that this is the are where body worked on and was the cause of my under carriage falling off. ALM has refused to fix it. Maintenance was the best and tried to help in many ways. Sales is terrible and upper management seems the same. I would never purchase a car here nor would I recommend anyone go. This is not the car buying experience you want. They treat you as if you have to buy a car from ALM. I was told by the sales over the phone to bring my, deposit and have insurance on the car before I arrive. How do you put insurance on a car you never seen or test drove??? The cars sale themselves at ALM. Sales experience doesn’t exist there. The car I bought was Les than similar cars bc it was in an accident. I accept that, but these were issues that were supposed to be fixed and should not be noticed bc it was sent to contractors to fix correctly. My price difference didn’t include scuffed rims, airbag light, body damage and transmission issues, as well as windshield wiper reservoir hose bursting open next day as well bc body wasn’t put back together properly, which was paid for by ALM. I brought the car back under 300 miles and tried to swap under their guarantee, the manager said that wouldn’t work for me because I may be denied. It’s hurtful because I just paid $20,000 for a car and it looks and drives as if I bought it from a “buy here, pay here” dealer. I worked hard to go the ALM and be swindled out of a decent piece of transportation to get around. DONT SHOP HERE! YOU’VE BEEN WARNED! More
