Lied to and strung along I just wanted to share my experience with ALM South and hopefully spare someone else the frustration I had to deal with. I live in Kansas City and have been looking for a Ford Expedition for quite a while. THURSDAY: I finally found exactly what I wanted on CarGuru.com at a great price at this dealership. I went to the website and saw that they also offered "NATIONWIDE SHIPPING AT DISCOUNTED RATES". Great!! So I contacted them and the salesperson of the year responded back. She wouldn't budge on the price but I thought it was such a good deal that it didn't matter. I asked about shipping and she said they didn't do that. I cited the website and she informed me she didn't know anything about that. I asked if she could now get me a quote and I was told that was something I would have to do my self. First red flag. I started by filling out the credit app in the early afternoon. I told her I could put $1500 down since I would also have to ship it. Later that night she apologizes for taking so long, but she would get to me in the morning. No problem. FRIDAY: We go back and forth. She needs info from me, I get it for her. About 5 pm our time, my husband calls to get an update. She says she will have the paperwork to us in an hour. It's now 9:30pm our time and no paperwork. I finally get an email and she's now telling me the bank wants a $2500 down payment. I tell her that it shouldn't be a problem as long as the APR is reasonable. Second red flag. SATURDAY: I wait all afternoon and here nothing. I send an email and leave her a voicemail. Nothing. I get onto the dealerships website and click on the chat box. I get a nice young man and he asks if he can help me. I tell him I haven't heard from my salesperson and I was hoping to get an update on our financing. He immediately logs off with no answer. xxx? Later I recieved an email from her stating no bank will approve me because I am late in my current auto loan. I get online to double check and I have CREDITS on both loans because I pay ahead. I tell her she is incorrect and she says to me "It's kind of hard to get a new auto loan approved when you are behind on your current one.". Despite my protests, I never hear back from her. I'm still not sure what the deal was. The only thing I can think of is that the CarGuru price was $2k less than the price on their website so she didn't want to sell it to me. Anyway, I shouldn't have been lied to or strung along. More

04 GMC Yukon Denali Drove 3 hours from Tennessee to purchase this unit after being preapproved. Jeremy did a great job in following up with me if it wasn't for that then I would not have purchased the unit. The deal took longer than expected around 3 hours but that was some of my fault for not having everything ready and part of the banks stipulations. Had a real pleasant visit at the the dealership and everyone was real friendly. ***The only bad thing that happened was the unit was almost empty on gas which is understandable because probably not good having a full tank of gas setting for months without being used. So you would think after the deal is being finalized they would go ahead and fill the tank with gas and have it ready to go. Well when I asked them about it they tried to avoid the issue as if it was a common occurrence. They finally said they have a gas card but can only put $15 in gas which was better than just ignoring the issue. After I left the dealership it cost about $40 bucks to top the tank off. Now here is my problem the dealer is going to make decent money from the deal and that's obvious because they purchased it and try to fixed things that are damaged and cleaned it up. Which ALM South seems to have high standards of selling great units but by not filling gas tanks up after purchase it leaves me thinking what other corners did they cut in order to make a $$$*** More
