ALM sold me a severely damaged car ALM South sold me a car that was severely damaged. Bought the car on Saturday and took it to an original manufacturer dealership on Tuesday to have it ALM South sold me a car that was severely damaged. Bought the car on Saturday and took it to an original manufacturer dealership on Tuesday to have it thoroughly checked out. It has significant frame damage (front & rear), along with a myriad of other problems, which I've listed below. Clearly the ALM mechanics who checked out the car would have been able to identify some of these issues and the fact that the car had been in multiple accidents. ALM did not disclose that the car had been in one or more major accidents. Their solution is for me to have my car towed to them (at my expense) and they will have the car repaired. Now the Mercedes dealership tells me that this car is so severely damaged that it is unlikely to be able to be safely and completely repaired. What ALM SHOULD do is honestly access the car, and refund or trade out the car for one that is safe and in good repair. This was NOT an inexpensive purchase! Not that the cost should be the deciding factor. They shouldn't sell an UNSAFE car to anyone, for any price! VIN: WDDKJ5KB9CF130576 • Front and rear frame damage • Front suspension bent (control arms bents/pop coming from left front) • Rear sub frame mount is collapsed • All 4 lift pads missing • Both front and right rear wheels bent • Left front inner brake pad is below factory spec • Rear caliper retaining pins damaged(unsafe) • Non Mercedes approved tires • Coolant is wrong type and has been mixing • No service history of an oil change every been done • Front steering rack bent • Thrust arm is bent • Front cooling fan is too close to the engine • Left front headlamp is broken • Wood grain on shifter is broken • Wood grain passenger doors cracked • Motor mounts broken • Passenger rear window will not go down • front bumper does not line up • front mounting bracket does not line up. Great Customer Care I went to a few car dealerships and after comparing prices I found that ALM South had the lowest prices and the best quality cars. Once at the dealer I went to a few car dealerships and after comparing prices I found that ALM South had the lowest prices and the best quality cars. Once at the dealership I was greeted by the receptionist who was very pleasant and sent Mr. Perry Howard to help me find a car. After finding the car I was looking for, Perry help close the deal quickly. Perry then took the time by helping me get to the bank to get a cashiers check to pay for the car. It was getting late so I left the dealership and headed home to get my sister. My sister drove me back to the dealership to get the car I just purchased. The dealerships closed at 9pm and Perry made arrangements for me to pick up my car after the dealership closed. Upon my arrival I was greeted by a courteous Security Officer who made me feel real comfortable. Perry Howard and the whole ALM staff took really good care of me and when I buy my next vehicle it will be from ALM South. More
Horrible Customer Service We purchased a 2007 BMW from ALM in Gwinnett in June 2015. Well what a horrible experience this has been. For starters they had just gotten the vehi We purchased a 2007 BMW from ALM in Gwinnett in June 2015. Well what a horrible experience this has been. For starters they had just gotten the vehicle in and had not serviced it, however they assured me that everything would be taken care of and the vehicle would be ready for purchase. This is the first of many excuses. Secondly, they claimed to have serviced the car and notified me that it was ready to go and we could pick it up. When arriving just two days later to take possession of the car, it had an extremely horrible sound in the rear (like it was going to fall apart) and the AC was inoperative (too hot in ATL) not to have AC in your car. We returned to the dealership and explained what was going on and again, they falsely fixed the problem. Again, we had to almost threaten to contact our attorney just to get them to service the car again. After finally getting someone to take another look it was concluded that it was the struts. Now, the thing is if a correct diagnostic test had been performed in the first place all of this would have been taken care of the first time. They had the car for 2 weeks this time. Now after having the car for about two weeks after having it returned back, we noticed a leak underneath the vehicle so we took it to the new location in Union City, and OMG...it was just as bad as Gwinnet if not worse. Marshal Litfield is a fast talker who thinks that he knows everything. But in fact he is a big liar. We took the car and explained the experience we had in Gwinnet and he assured us that they will get everything right. He appeared to take notes and to our concerns, and advised he would contact us with updates. Well none of the above happened, I had to make several phone calls to him and kept getting all of the false promises plus we kept getting conflicting prices for the repairs. He never had a concrete answer. After having the car for 4 days, I called today and he said the vehicle would be ready by 5p and that the repair cost would be one price. Well you know what happened when we returned to the dealership to pick the car. We entered the showroom and he was walking across the room so I called his name and to his surprise to see us, he quoted "I'm having your car pulled around right now". He asked how the bill was being paid and was given a cc. We were in the waiting area for 40mins until he finally returned with some bogus repair slip with $850 that he had charged to our cc stating that they had to have someone from finance to do the billing. First, of all you charged an amount you thought was sufficient in your mind, but not advising the customer what you were doing especially after you had already given us the exact amount due and we had only agreed to that amount and not one penny more. Plus, you don't have an itemized repair bill. There is some shady stuff going on. Its after 9p now, but we will return tomorrow to speak with a manager, because someone is going to give us our money back. Plus it appears that the repairs were half xxx done. I would not recommend this dealership to my WORST enemy. DO NOT PURCHASE A VEHICLE FROM ALM....YOU WILL REGRET IT. More
