Everything about my service was rushed. I came in for my 7500 mile service. I think they changed the oil. Other things were overlooked and half done. I had to return to the dealership because my check engine light came on (the tech didn’t replace my oil dipstick correctly) and none of my fluids were topped off, even though paper said they were. My oil life percentage was never reset. When I brought this to the attention of the dealership, everyone was very dismissive on the phone. More

I had hoped to be able to leave a good review. Having looked at this dealership's reviews online, I really wanted our experience to be better. Unfortunately, to this point in time, our experience Having looked at this dealership's reviews online, I really wanted our experience to be better. Unfortunately, to this point in time, our experience has been in line with the reviews I found on cars.com & at the Better Business Bureau website. I will say that this dealership has changed ownership three times in the last several years. It changed from Thornton Rd. Hyundai to Jenkins Hyundai, & it is now ALM West Hyundai. Our experience is with the Service Department . My daughter purchased her new 2015 Hyundai Sonata from this dealership. My daughter had her regular maintenance (oil changes, etc.) performed at this dealership from the beginning. The issues started with the oil change when the car was at 83,317 miles on 4/7/22. This dealership refused to service the vehicle because it was, according to them, 3.5 quarts low on oil. They told my daughter (verifiable by their service report) that they would not change the oil with it being that low because it was leaking oil from the valve cover gaskets. The car was not leaking oil from the valve cover gaskets as the original valve cover gaskets are still on the car & there is no signs of oil leaks from them. This has been verified by an independent, professional car care professional. The car currently has 113,xxx miles on it. The car has been burning large amounts of oil internally since that 4/7/2022 visit & we are seeking for Hyundai to replace the engine in this car as they have 10's of 1,000's of this same make & model. Our most recent experience with this Service Department has been far from professional. I will not bore with the details that began on 2/12/2024 - current. However, it will suffice it to say that the communication skills of the Service Writer we have been dealing with & the Service Manager himself have been...lacking. After being ignored for almost an hour, I did have a conversation with the Service Manager this past Friday, 6/7/24 where I was able to share our frustration & desire to allow them another opportunity to provide better service & communication. I told the Service Manager that I had hoped to be able to leave them a glowing review when our issue was resolved & I still hope to do that, & will do that, if they can get things back on track & provide the service that they should strive to provide. I look forward to updating my reviews in time. We are at the beginning of a 1,000 mile Oil Consumption Test. I hope & trust they will perform better moving forward. More
