Worst experience This was by far the worst car buying experience. My daughter, who just recently turned 18 went to look at cars. We explained that she has a part tim This was by far the worst car buying experience. My daughter, who just recently turned 18 went to look at cars. We explained that she has a part time job that she's had for almost two years and she just started s full time position a couple weeks ago, after she graduated. They said "no problem" and worked out a down payment and monthly payment. Everything was typed up, printed and signed. She signed over the title to the car she had been driving, we secured insurance coverage and drove home with a used Hyundai Accent. This was Friday, July 1st, after 10pm. On Wednesday, the following week, they had me go in and sign as a cosigner, which I told them probably wasn't a good idea because my credit was t so good. The finance guy, Michael, said "It's just for income. And once we get your daughter approved we will work on getting you a car and she can be a cosigner for you, too." I looked at cars that night with Giovanni and picked one out. He said I would have an answer by Friday. I was skeptical, but put my faith in them. Friday rolled around and no phone call from anyone. When I reached out, I was told they were still trying to get financing for my daughter. By this time, she's had the car for a week. The next week we don't hear anything from anyone at the dealership until Thursday, when the my daughter receives a frantic text from Michael saying she needs to come to the dealership as soon as possible. When she responded he told her she needed to bring the car back. Unfortunately, they were not able to secure financing for her. When I called to get more details Michael transfers me to Jeramy, in Sales. I leave a voicemail. He doesn't return my call. I call back and he says that because she doesn't have six months at her full time job, they can't finance her. I told him they never should have let her drive off the lot if they didn't have financing. It's now 13 days later and she has to return the car. We took the car back on Friday night, July 14th. After waiting for ten minutes they finally help us. When they look for the keys for the trade-in they were unable to locate them for at least another 15 minutes. They go to bring it to us and the car won't start. So, we ended up taking the Hyundai home that night. They said there would be a tech looking at the car the next day. We told them that my daughter had to work Saturday until 2:30pm and then she needed to be somewhere at 4pm, so she only had an hour window to trade the car in the next day. When my daughter arrived, nobody helped her for close to 45 minutes. They finally did help her and brought the vehicle. When she got home she realized they had forgotten to give her the packet that included her down payment check and title to her car. So, we now have to make yet another trip to that God forsaken dealership. All in all, this experience was awful. Very unproductive They made us jump through hoops to get all the documents and signatures they requested and still didn't help. I can't imagine she is the only first time buyer they've ever worked with. They should never have allowed her to drive off the lot without having the financing locked in, instead of getting her excited and ripping the rug out from under her. All in all, my suggestion is to not get your hopes up because they will get you. More
