Hi Arthur, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience and speaking with me earlier today. We understand your hope was to have your A/C fully operational with little to no out-of-pocket expense, especially while addressing warranty-related repairs. After completing the warranty extension repair for the A/C compressor shaft seal, our technician identified that the A/C discharge hose was leaking. From a technical standpoint, the discharge hose is responsible for carrying high-pressure refrigerant from the compressor to the condenser. When there is a leak in this line, the system cannot maintain proper refrigerant pressure. Even with a new or repaired compressor component, low or unstable pressure will prevent the system from building the necessary conditions to produce cold air. In some cases, it can also cause the compressor to cycle improperly or not engage as designed, which is why the A/C would still not perform correctly without addressing the hose. We certainly understand the frustration of being presented with an additional repair, especially when it impacts your original expectation. Our intent is always to fully diagnose and communicate what is needed to restore proper operation, not to upsell unnecessary repairs. Regarding the wash and wait time, that is not the experience we want for our customers, and we apologize for the inconvenience there. If you would like to revisit the repair or discuss options moving forward, I will honor the offer that I made when we spoke verbally at any point!
