I recently leased a new vehicle from Volkswagen of Downtown Chicago and had a disappointing experience related to billing and customer service. I was told by the dealership staff that although my last payment on my previous lease might be processed, I should pay it, and they would reimburse me directly to avoid any issues with my credit. Over a week later, I noticed that my old car was still listed on my account, and VW Credit informed me that they could not halt the payment because the car hadn't been officially checked in (even though the dealership had received it 10 days before the payment was due). For over a week, I tried calling the dealership to clarify next steps, but my calls would either go to a voicemail that was disconnected, or I was told someone would call me back—no one ever did. When I finally visited the dealership in person, I was informed they could not reimburse me as previously promised, and I was left to resolve the issue on my own. This experience has left me feeling misled and unsupported, both in terms of communication and resolution. I hope the dealership improves its transparency and responsiveness for future customers. More

Buying my car at this dealership was a nice experience. Emre is an excellent salesperson, he will do everything to find the right car for you and make sure you can drive it home the same day. From presenting the car to the test drive, he was very professional and helpful. Davis from the finance department is very detailed, he explained everything clearly and went through each item step by step, which made the process smooth and transparent. Since the used car I purchased had some issues, Mohammad and Emre went above and beyond to support me. Mohammad kept me updated, listened carefully to all my concerns, and made sure I was satisfied with the resolution. Overall, even though I have doubts that my car was thoroughly inspected before I purchased it, the team was willing to listen to my concerns and opened a ticket to address everything I pointed out. In the end, even though I still believe the car might have some electrical (ECU) issues, they committed to fixing it for me. I will update this review with further comments regarding the service once the work is completed. More
