Hello my name is Curtis Hensley. I was born and raised in Fargo, North Dakota. I moved my family to Colorado Springs in January of 2022. We have three children and two dogs. I have been in the car business since 2010 and have held almost every position in a dealership. What i love about the car business is that there is never two days the same. I have met some of the greatest friends in the business. Thanks for reading and if you have any questions feel free to reach out!

DO NOT BUY A USED CAR FROM CORWIN TOYOTA OF COLORADO SPRINGS I bought a used 2017 Sienna for $18,000 on December 16, 2025, including the installation of brand-new tires prior to alignment. Within just SPRINGS I bought a used 2017 Sienna for $18,000 on December 16, 2025, including the installation of brand-new tires prior to alignment. Within just 3 months, approximately 2,000 miles later I had to tow it for $700 to the dealership on March 17, 2026. Upon two separate inspections, I received an estimate for $18,000 in necessary repairs. The now reported issues: transmission failure (bearing failure), a destroyed transfer case, engine timing cover leaking, blown and leaking rear shocks, cylinder 4 misfire, requiring a tune-up, and a rear differential drain plug left halfway out. Multiple maintenance concerns were identified that clearly predated our purchase. NONE of these significant issues were disclosed on the used car inspection report before the time of sale. Based on the pictures given, it is evident that these problems existed prior to our purchase. This vehicle should not have been sold as “in good condition” and instead should have been sent to auction. It is unfathomable that a technician(s) had been under the car at least three times before we bought it and none of this was reported. Furthermore, shortly after buying the car, on February 19, 2026 purchased a second key fob to be programmed. During that visit, a 21-point inspection was conducted, and again, no issues or recommendations were noted beyond a routine driveline service email. We have called the Corwin corporate office twice and spoke with Mary Hjermstad who has emailed Curtis Hensley, General Manager, to contact us. It has now been two weeks, and no one has reached out. Warren Weimer, the service director, was willing to give us the driveline service. The used car manager is taking ZERO responsibility saying we bought it “as is”. Also stated willing to work with us on a trade per our service writer but at an EXTREME financial loss. My husband worked at that location for 4 years as a used car technician when it was Larry H. Miller Toyota and has been a professional automotive technician for 20+ years. This is our first experience with Corwin and I tell you a very egregious experience. The condition of this vehicle at the time of sale is unacceptable and should have been clearly identified. They show absolutely no care about their customers whatsoever. The lack of accountability and communication has only compounded the issue. We urge Corwin Toyota of Colorado Springs to review this situation seriously and work toward a fair and reasonable resolution. Wish I had the option to give Negative stars to everyone I gave 1 star to. Sad. But, want their names involved. More

Bait and switch. My wife and I were looking at a year-old 4Runner that had a window sticker indicating a price of $73,093. When we talked to a sales person we discove My wife and I were looking at a year-old 4Runner that had a window sticker indicating a price of $73,093. When we talked to a sales person we discovered that the advertised price for the vehicle was only $60,078. We were surprised by this apparent steep discount and asked for verification of the price. The sales person checked with multiple superiors who assured her that the true Corwin Price for the vehicle was $60,078. Next we checked on trade-in value for our existing vehicle. The sales person was surprised that it was in such excellent shape and was sure that we would be offered a fair price ($29,000) for the trade in which Justice confirmed after a cursory inspection. After originally agreeing that it was in great shape, Justice Padilla conducted his "expert evaluation" and concluded that it was in "Good" condition which is defined by Kelley Blue Book as indicating that it, "Has repairable cosmetic defects and mechanical problems." Justice low-balled the trade-in value ($25,000). When called on his evaluation, Justice said that he bases his assessment on mileage and Very Good or Excellent only apply to vehicles with under 500 miles on them. To add injury to insult, Justice gave a price that was $1,690 higher than the sticker price and added in an extra $3,000 in false tax (intentionally put in the wrong tax rate). When we flatly rejected the bait-and-switch he came back with a revised offer that used the correct tax rate and took a bit off, but was still over $10,000 above the advertised and confirmed price. James Majors stood behind this bait-and-switch tactic and pretended that this was an inadvertent error despite an employee admitting that the price discrepancy between sticker and advertised price had been previously reported but no effort was made to change the advertised price. After we left the dealership they "fixed" the web page to show a price that was close to the sticker price. More

Although I live in Idaho I feel it was well worth the effort to deal with Corwin Colorado Springs , plus I actually never even had to go there to purchase my new grand Highlander hybrid . And so far the effort to deal with Corwin Colorado Springs , plus I actually never even had to go there to purchase my new grand Highlander hybrid . And so far the mileage I’m getting is at least what it was cracked up to be ( 35-36mpg), which is a huge improvement over our 2019 Highlander (22-23mg)… definitely worth the investment to get the hybrid .
