I called to get an estimate on maintenance that might be needed. Someone in the service dept called me back after checking parts and labor. The estimated costs costs ended up being the lowest of the dealers needed. Someone in the service dept called me back after checking parts and labor. The estimated costs costs ended up being the lowest of the dealerships I contacted. So, I scheduled the service. The following day I was concerned the actual cost could be more, so I called back to confirm everything. This time I spoke to a different person. After some discussion I was told that my car would need an inspection before they could confirm the cost. No one informed me this inspection would cost extra. When I got to the dealership the service rep did ask if anyone informed me of their fee. No one had but I agreed based on the fact that they don’t charge if they do the work. Needless to say the cost went much higher and now they’re the highest bidder for the work. I’ve had oil changes at this dealership before and it looks to me like their evaluation is the same as when you get it free with an oil change. So, I had to pay $100 + tax just to get a real bid. More
