Art Bravo helped us with a complete vehicle inspection and noted we needed a new battery (t had a good run since 2018). He also discovered our rear breaks and rotors needed replacement. I was expecting high dealership repair prices. We did call and check with competitors and Fullerton Ford had the VERY BEST prices. Plus, they will take you to\from the dealership for service. Really came through on my 2023 Bronco. My original 2021 4 door automatic order was delayed again to a 2024. South Bay Ford had a 2 door manual on the lot. Because of the issues on my original order they gave me a great price on the 2 door that more than made up for loosening 2 doors and the automatic. After driving it now for a few days I’m very happy with the quality, price, and South Bay Ford (not so much for Ford Motor Company with their total lack of communication and ability to produce my original order)

I am writing to formally raise concerns regarding misleading advertising and pricing practices at your dealership. The vehicle price advertised was not the actual price required to complete the purchase. After I proceeded based on the listed price, the dealership increased the total by over $3,000 through mandatory add-ons. When I cited California SB 478 (the “Honest Pricing” or “Hidden Fees” law), the manager became hostile and stated that if I did not agree to pay for LoJack, the dealership did not want my business. SB 478, effective October 2023 as an amendment to the Consumers Legal Remedies Act, requires businesses to advertise the full, all-in price and prohibits undisclosed mandatory fees. The manager further stated he was unaware of SB 478, which does not excuse noncompliance and may explain the dealership’s unlawful advertising practices. This conduct appears to constitute deceptive advertising and bait-and-switch tactics in violation of California law. I am documenting this experience accordingly. Sincerely, Shelley

It's places like this that are why people HATE dealerships! I attempted to buy a used 2022 Mustang Mach-E GT (VIN ending 2119) from Star Ford Glendale at the $27,539 “Star Price” shown on their website. Since I’m ~400 miles away, I requested an out-the-door quote and to hold it with a deposit while I arranged a cashier’s check and travel. After some back-and-forth providing info, Jasmine texted me saying ”since we have your credit app/deposit we will hold the vehicle unless you would like to not proceed” Their first OTD quote included a $395 VIN etching add-on and was also $250 higher than the advertised website price (I provided a screenshot of). After I referenced SB478 banning required add-ons, they removed the etching but still kept pricing $250 above the website using the excuse that other people had expressed interest and it was a bug that was no longer live (I was able to get it to provide the same price again after they claimed this) After numerous texts/calls, I was told a manager approved honoring the website price and that a final revised OTD reflecting the advertised pricing would be sent. I was then resent the previous quote that was $250 high which I pointed out, and the response was “Wow you’re right let me get that fixed” While waiting, I emailed the deposit/CC information since we had verbally agreed on terms. After over an hour of waiting for the corrected OTD price sheet and contacting multiple employees, I received a call from Ryan. Despite no warning and it being less than three hours after being told the car was being held for me, Ryan said they were not holding it and were selling it to an in-person buyer that evening. I asked to speak with the manager and was told the manager was out and neither myself or Ryan could reach him. I was later informed Ryan is actually the owner of the dealership and that he was the one that made the decision to rescind the deal after personally approving it. It's absurd it took hours of back and forth between six phone calls and dozens of text messages just to get a dealer to sell a vehicle at their own asking price. Then after all that just decide to not honor the hold that was confirmed IN WRITING is something else.

I'm writing this review to give potential patrons a heads up regarding the vehicle buying experience. Although I'm rating my review for this dealership as neutral (3 out of 5 stars), I'm still recommending this dealership for anyone looking to buy a vehicle. I'll start with the negatives first, and it's down to the numbers on the sales contract. Please note that I had an exceptional experience with my sales guy (Baldwin), but with his relax and cool demeanor - they still deceptively take advantage of the customer. I'm not complaining because I'm happy with the purchase, but as a patron of this establishment, they are not transparent. One reason is that I'm currently in a Ford lease, and wanted to trade in the vehicle halfway through the agreement (I still had 17 months left). Whether it's to pay the remaining payments, or the dealership buying out my lease from Ford - I am well aware I'm upside down. The problem I have is that the dealership presented 2 different numbers when it came to buying out my vehicle: First number is my buyout price, and second number is higher price (for the dealership to buyout). This is not true. In fact, I caught it in the finance office when signing paperwork, but when speaking to the Finance person, she lied so I didn't even bother calling her out on the lie. There's a piece of paper (keep in mind they are quick to have you sign papers) that I signed that shows what the dealership with payoff my vehicle (and it's to the lower price). The reason they say it's higher for them is because they sucker the customer to adding "TripleCare" (which is a $1400 charge). I did ask her about this, and again her response was vague. She doesn't even explain what it is, or what benefit. The vehicle I purchased was a used Nissan Truck, and TripleCare is warranty coverage provided by Ford (for windshield chips, curb rash, etc.). It's useless, and this is how the dealership tried to discretely slide it in the deal. Besides that, they made me review and sign the Carfax. Although the details are fine, it reflects that the dealership "replaced all 4 tires." Unsure if they replaced with new and/or used tires, but... (1) The rear tires are well used and have maybe less than 40% life left; there are aged cracks on it. (2) The driver front tire is brand new, but they replaced with a different model tire (the rest are Dynapro HT, while this brand new tire is Dynapro HT2). (3) The passenger front tire is semi new, with maybe 70% life left. It's deceptive to say that all 4 tires were replaced, where me as a patron would think that it's 4 brand new MATCHING tires. Now I'm pivoting to the positive (and the reason why I recommend the dealership). My salesperson (Baldwin) provided an excellent car buying experience. It's easy to talk to him, he knows his stuff, but don't fully fall for tactics. It's actually easy to work with him, but please note the dealership still needs to make their profit. Would I purchase from this dealership again? I think I'm done with Fords, but if there's a good deal on a used vehicle, then most likely. They say they don't do addendums or markups (besides specialty vehicles), but that TripleCare warranty was technically an addendum since they discretely factored it in the deal (as a markup applied coming from my trade).

Our salesman told us we were getting a rebate and we did not get a rebate. He overcharged us for financing. I asked him to call USAA for financing. He said he did and they were high. I called USAA, they also are my insurance company as well as my bank, to put insurance on the car and they offered me financing for lower than the dealer. They also offered me an extended warranty for less than half the price of the dealer. I tried for three days after the sale to talk to someone and no one returned my calls. Very dissatisfied. I would never reccomend this dealer for a purchase!
