Art Bravo helped us with a complete vehicle inspection and noted we needed a new battery (t had a good run since 2018). He also discovered our rear breaks and rotors needed replacement. I was expecting high dealership repair prices. We did call and check with competitors and Fullerton Ford had the VERY BEST prices. Plus, they will take you to\from the dealership for service. I was searching online for a used Ford Edge but couldn't find the exact model I was looking for until I found the 2024 Ford Edge at Ford of Montebello. I reached out via the site and asked for more info. Julio called and informed me they still had it and we set up an appointment for me to come in. I drove up from San Diego to see the car. When I arrived everyone was extremely friendly and said hi. Julio introduced me to Fabian who was going to go on the test drive with me. Fabian showed me the different features the Edge had and how to use them. There was a great deal on the car and it was brand new. So I told Julio and Fabian I'd take it. The whole process was easy. Julio and I discussed numbers and warranties. I signed the papers with Sandy from Finance who made the process go smoothly. She answered all my questions I had about the papers. This was one of the easiest car purchase I've made. Highly recommend this dealership.

Really came through on my 2023 Bronco. My original 2021 4 door automatic order was delayed again to a 2024. South Bay Ford had a 2 door manual on the lot. Because of the issues on my original order they gave me a great price on the 2 door that more than made up for loosening 2 doors and the automatic. After driving it now for a few days I’m very happy with the quality, price, and South Bay Ford (not so much for Ford Motor Company with their total lack of communication and ability to produce my original order)

I am writing to formally raise concerns regarding misleading advertising and pricing practices at your dealership. The vehicle price advertised was not the actual price required to complete the purchase. After I proceeded based on the listed price, the dealership increased the total by over $3,000 through mandatory add-ons. When I cited California SB 478 (the “Honest Pricing” or “Hidden Fees” law), the manager became hostile and stated that if I did not agree to pay for LoJack, the dealership did not want my business. SB 478, effective October 2023 as an amendment to the Consumers Legal Remedies Act, requires businesses to advertise the full, all-in price and prohibits undisclosed mandatory fees. The manager further stated he was unaware of SB 478, which does not excuse noncompliance and may explain the dealership’s unlawful advertising practices. This conduct appears to constitute deceptive advertising and bait-and-switch tactics in violation of California law. I am documenting this experience accordingly. Sincerely, Shelley

I live in the Las Vegas area but my 2002 F150 popped a spark plug when I was in Glendale. Star Ford knew I was from out of town and I’m certain that they overcharged me to repair the vehicle as they knew I didn’t live in the area and I had little choice, because getting the truck to another place to fix the issue would have been a logistical nightmare. The cylinder that lost the plug was right up at the front driver side of the engine and was easily accessible. Installing a helix should have taken about an hour, maybe two on the outside if the mechanic working on it was high and liked to take a lot of breaks. But Star Ford claimed that this was a 7 to 8 hour job! They ended up charging me almost $1900 to install a SINGLE HELIX. And then they had the gall to offer to change out the remaining spark plugs for an additional $600?!? What the f--- are they smoking in Star Ford of Glendale?? The service tech Sam Davis was polite and professional, but she seemed to have little sway (or little interest) in ensuring that the service manager didn’t bend me over on the charges. Star Ford is the kind of dealership that makes people not trust the automobile industry. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE FOR SERVICE. There are plenty of smaller mechanic shops in the area that would have done the work for less than $800 (some, a LOT less) and would have had the work done more quickly. I only wish that I had AAA take to one of those places instead. Avoid Star Ford at all costs for service. FOLLOW UP - Manny the service manager for Star Ford got in touch with me regarding my complaint and refunded a substantial amount of my payment. His decision to do that was appreciated by me and I’m thankful that he took the time to make things right. Looks like Star Ford owns up to their mistakes and they do what they can to make the customer happy. Good job, Manny!

I brought my car in on Jan 16th because of Ford recall due to an engine issue where the coolant kept leaking into the engine. I was promised that they will replace the engine at no cost to me. I asked my service rep, Kyle, if they were going to cover the cost of the rental car, he told me they should, and it would take 4-6 weeks to get reimbursed and he assured me it would be taken care of and that Ford will cover the entire cost of the rental. During the course of getting the car repaired, I got no calls from Kyle to keep me updated on my repair. When I first took it in, I was told that the repair was going to take about a week, so I told Avis, I will be needing the car for 7-10 days. I kept calling for about another week to try to get an idea of when the car was ready, and each time I called there was no call back from Kyle. The repair dragged on from Jan 16th to Feb 11th, the entire time, I got no call backs and had to keep extending the rental without knowing a completion date, which was extremely frustrating. It was our family car and our only car, we had to downgrade from the SUV we owned to a smaller and less roomy Toyota Camry, which was not easy because we are a family of 5 with a dog. Did Ford appreciate this? They didn't care. I finally got the SUV back on Feb 11th, a Friday, and returned the rental the same day. When we got home on Friday afternoon, after not having the car for weeks and Ford taking their sweet time to repair it, the radiator burst in the driveway and all the coolant leaked out. I was forced to rent a car on a Saturday, om the spot with no reservation, because that was our only car, but the only available car was a minivan that was a lot more expensive than the Camry, that was about $173 a day, and they ended up fixing the issue on Monday, but I still had to pay for Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. Once the issue was fixed, about a month later, I got the SUV back, returned the rental and gave Kyle the 3 rental agreements, which totalled to over $1500, about mid-February. I asked him again if Ford was going to cover the cost, and he again assured me that the entire cost would be covered. Weeks go by, then months go by, I still don't hear from Kyle, and I called in to the dealership again to follow up, Kyle doesn't call back, a week later I call again and demand to speak to him, I finally get him on the phone, and he said that he submitted the invoices to Ford, and was waiting to hear back. Another month passes by with no follow up. When I called in again and spoke to Kyle, he said he had spoken to Ford and they had questions about the 3rd invoice because it was so much higher than the first two invoices, and I had to remind him that it was much higher due to the fact that i had to get an on the spot rental on a Saturday due to the radiator bursting on Friday afternoon when I got the SUV back. He tells me that he now has the on the 3rd invoice details and will follow up with Ford. Weeks pass and again I'm wondering what the heck is going on with my reimbursement check, so I call in, of course, because Kyle is not calling back, of course. By this time I'm so frustrated, that I ask to talk to the service manager, Lee. Lee tells me that they only have the 3rd invoice, and that they will only be reimbursing me $35 a day, which is barely enough to cover the cost of a small car, not even a sedan. When I told him that Kyle said that the entire bill was covered, and that Kyle never said that, and he basically insinuated that I was a liar. I told him that I gave Kyle all 3 invoices, and his response without even speaking to Kyle, was that they didn't have the first two invoices. Even after I told him that I gave the 1st two invoices to Kyle in person when I picked up the car. He kept taking Kyle's side the whole time and doubted everything I said about Kyle promising to cover the entire rental bill. I was forced to go back to the rental place 6 months later to get the other 2 invoices, the Avis Upland location

Our salesman told us we were getting a rebate and we did not get a rebate. He overcharged us for financing. I asked him to call USAA for financing. He said he did and they were high. I called USAA, they also are my insurance company as well as my bank, to put insurance on the car and they offered me financing for lower than the dealer. They also offered me an extended warranty for less than half the price of the dealer. I tried for three days after the sale to talk to someone and no one returned my calls. Very dissatisfied. I would never reccomend this dealer for a purchase!
