Went in for burned out light and drove in the garage…waited a couple minutes for service to come out and that didnt happen. Went inside and talked to guy in middle of the techs (short guy with no personality). He wanted to charge me $189 to fond the problem for a burned out low beam headlight. NOT COOL! Between them overcharging me and his arrogant attitude, not going back!

The management at Toyota of Fox Lake needs to know what a valuable resource they have in Timothy Delord. I made a random call to the dealership about a rusted out frame on my 2004 Toyota Tacoma. Despite what task I may have taken him away from, Timothy showed a level of professionalism and patience that I have not encountered in over 50 years of car ownership. In this age of negative connotations regarding car dealership personnel, the level of satisfaction in my experience with Timothy Delord must be acknowledged by dealership management. I've been looking for a particular car for over a year and had been into many dealerships in and near Illinois. Once William, one of the sales managers, stepped up to help me, he found the car I wanted in just 5 minutes! Despite my frustration, anger, and annoyance, William was polite, sensitive, and stayed professional. I returned to get my deposit back and walk away. Instead, within a week I owned my "unicorn" (unicorns are mythical). I even am enjoying a couple of trinkets along with my new Corolla Cross - especially the little multi-tool I now use every day! Even though someone else at this dealership wouldn't consider my 20-year-old car as a trade-in, William let me trade it in. That was a huge factor in helping me to decide to stick with this dealership and got rid of my headache of trying to sell it on my own. There were a lot of bumps along the way with this purchase, but William made it right. I was very specific on what I did and didn't want on a car and had a huge learning curve because cars have changed a lot in the past 20 years. Chicago Northside Toyota felt comfortable, quiet, well-staffed and immaculate each time I was in there. There was always someone to greet customers at all doors. The waiting area is very comfortable and spread out enough to not feel like a courtroom. As a side note about a different dealership- I didn't last 5 minutes in Leader Toyota either time I went there and felt like I was in The Twilight Zone. I gave them 2 chances. I happily bought my previous car from Grossinger - but the new management is obviously going for a different clientele, and I was uncomfortable.

I looked at multiple vehicles over multiple weeks, asked for Kateryna each time, and while she was supportive and responsive, I never felt uncomfortable or pressured which is important to me. When purchasing a brand new car from Tyler we pointed out some curious spots on it. We were told that if they did not come off to call them and they would make it right. They did not come off and a local repair shop informed us they wouldn't. So Tyle'rs takes our car for a week and it looked ok, then after a wash we see the same spots with added swirl marks all over the hood. They refuse to fix it now and wont even answer the phone for us anymore...emails go unanswered. We have a brand new car with payments that needs expensive repair. Car should have been marked "as is" and reduced. Very dishonest place.
