I brought my new RAV4 here for its first 10k-mile oil change, and the experience was completely unacceptable. First, the service advisor was incredibly rude, dismissive, and lacked basic customer serv change, and the experience was completely unacceptable. First, the service advisor was incredibly rude, dismissive, and lacked basic customer service skills. To make matters worse, the technicians overfilled my engine oil by one full quart. Overfilling an engine by that much can cause serious pressure issues and engine damage. This is a brand-new vehicle, and I expected certified Toyota technicians to know how to perform a basic oil change correctly. I am highly disappointed by the lack of professionalism and the careless mechanical work. I will not be returning to this location for service. Last time doing business with this dealer. More
Walked in with my family, very excited to finally see the model we've been evaluating. After 10 minutes, nobody spoke a single word to us or even acknowledged us as they sat at the front desk. The service department is remarkably dishonest. Just bald faced lies. The car buying experience was fine, but no chance I'd go back for service again. Just bald faced lies. The car buying experience was fine, but no chance I'd go back for service again. More
I bought my 2026 Toyota Tacoma from Chicago Northside Toyota, and this has easily been one of the most frustrating dealership experiences I have ever had. The paint damage appeared during a routine ca Toyota, and this has easily been one of the most frustrating dealership experiences I have ever had. The paint damage appeared during a routine car wash with manual sprayer and in researching the issue I found similar concerns reported by other owners of recent white Tacomas. The truck only had 600 miles. I went to the dealership expecting help, honesty, and some level of customer support. Instead, I was pushed off, sent through layers of bureaucracy, and treated like the dealership wanted nothing to do with me unless corporate Toyota paid for everything. That was the clear impression the entire time. What makes this worse is that another Toyota dealership that had no prior relationship with me was more willing to help than the dealership that actually sold me the truck and took my money for warranties and service contracts. That says a lot. Northside Toyota’s communication was poor, their handling of the issue felt defensive, and at no point did I feel like they were truly advocating for me as their customer. Everything felt centered on avoiding cost and responsibility rather than trying to do the right thing. If you are buying a vehicle, especially an expensive new one, understand this: the real test of a dealership is not when they are trying to sell you a car. The real test is how they treat you when something goes wrong. In my experience, Chicago Northside Toyota failed that test badly. I would not recommend this dealership, and I would strongly encourage others to think carefully before trusting them with a vehicle purchase, warranty issue, or long-term service relationship. I’ll be pulling all my current and future business from them. I should’ve researched this vehicle before I bought it and this shady dealership. More

I had the worst car sales experience of my life. Never in my years of car buying have i had a salesman swear at me. Do not work with Jeremy Alveraz. He was the most unprofessional employee I’ve ever met. He came with $5k worth of add ons that i requested him to take out. He said it’s part of the car deal and he cannot ( blatant LIE of course) i said id want to work with another sales or manager because he wouldnt rework the numbers when i asked him multiple times and simply bc he lost my trust. His response was “I’m not here to earn your trust. I’m here to sell you a car “. He continued to use profanity and yell at me in front of his sales manager and employees as we parted ways. The Head manager came by later to apologize but this still left a very bad taste. I hope they review the cameras and let go of this employee. I will take this to higher ups as a simple apology won’t suffice. I do hope you guys hire better employees than this. Trust there will be reviews left on bbb and other sites so other consumers are aware of this employee and his criminal like sales tactics. Toyota do better!! Edit: finance dept also tried to add on $1k on top of the agreed deal. Unbelievable… will NEVER stop by here again. Buyers beware!!! More
A.J. Reilly (Finance Director): He added a $4,000 warranty to my purchase, telling me I could cancel it anytime and get my money back. It has been six months now, and despite countless calls and visi warranty to my purchase, telling me I could cancel it anytime and get my money back. It has been six months now, and despite countless calls and visits, I still have not received my refund. This feels like fraud. More
My shopping experience with Ewan was so very above any expectation that I had in mind when I walked in. Ewan did what no other salesman did for me during my month of shopping (Kia, Nissan, Hyundai & Honda expectation that I had in mind when I walked in. Ewan did what no other salesman did for me during my month of shopping (Kia, Nissan, Hyundai & Honda..) Ewan from the start made me feel respected as a shopper. Ewan did not seem to ever jump into sales mode, he only listened to what I was looking for and simply educated me on what the car had to offer me for my needs. He did not use over the top 'sexy' or 'attractive' terms when explaining the cars features, there was never a pitch, he stuck to the real facts of the brand and the model's features. Which resulted in building my trust in the brand, when the merchandise is good you don't have to over reach to get every single sale, the facts ARE enough to get you to a close. He never pushed me towards an upgraded model, or the platinum edition because it didn't fit me. My model feels tailored to me, and I am so happy with it. When I was being over the top picky in two specific features I did not want to let go of, again, Ewan respectfully informed me we could be looking at a few weeks to find a match, I said that was fine & he went on the hunt to find the match. No push to grab what was on the lot to get the quick sale, no sense of feeling like i was asking for too much.. My choices, heard and respected. The timing was difficult as well for me to shop at all in, early June had tons of personal travel for me which kept me out of Chicago but Ewan was very flexible in working with my schedule too when arranging pick up when it finally did come in! Day of closing he stayed past his leave time to make sure closing went fine, he walked through all the features again with me. A few weeks past closing he has followed up to see if i had any questions about the tech features. I think it speaks volumes for his professionalism to hangout with me during the financials and to follow up later, i'm picky but a very relaxed shopper, and I value personal time the most.. having done sales before and had to stay hours past my leave i urged him to go enjoy his time but he wanted to see it though! I did walk away from one car *cough* kia*couh*, they had the exact model i was looking for in my dream color on lot- but the sales agent was over the top. Chasing me out the door (not an exaggeration) with discounts... which only made me wonder what the he*l is wrong with this brand new car with 20 miles on it and honestly i'm so happy she did that. I couldn't imagine myself being this happy with anything other than my Prius. But thats just to say i have no problem leaving because of pushy or dramatic sales people, there are other cars on the market, there's competition all around- the sales agent IS the difference. The 2025 prius ultimately checks every single box, the gray color gets complemented all the time, it turns heads, the tech and safety features are everything i wanted and more, the savings on gas is unreal.. The car is great, we all know that- but the service from Ewan is what I really wanted to point out because car shopping sucks- but i never once felt uncomfortable, or annoyed, it was just so easy and painless, and I really enjoyed my experience which i 100% never expected when i started car shopping. Have to shout out Nate for all the help, from sticking with me and answering a million questions to having the car outside and ready to go.
