In 2023, Leased a 2024 kia k5 and on november 2024 took - Dissapointed

In 2023, Leased a 2024 kia k5 and on november 2024 took car in for an oil change and left the kia service and paid 93.00 approximatly for the oil change. About 30 mins later car went into a halt, alternator light and oil light came on and had a burning smell. Had to drive the car back very slow in traffic while car hesitating and stopping on the way because they did not have a tow truck ready. Once there and the car was checked they found out that whoever was working on my car did not put the oil cap back on securely and ALL the oil spilled everywhere under the hood so the engine did not have ANY OIL. Tried to get some kind of compensation or someone from Schaumburg Kia to rectify the damage that they caused to the car and putting my life at risk driving in busy traffic and they did NOT do anything but cleaned up the oil spill and offered 3 free oil changes on a lease that was less than 12 months before it ended. They still to this day did NOTHING to compensate or satisfy their customer for the damaged they themselves caused. That car's engine and all the components could be damaged and this was a brand new 2024 leased car that money was put down and paid for every month on time and at the time of the oil spill there was only about 5,600+ miles on the car so the car was still considered brand new. I would not trust schaumburg kia when it comes to taking care of their customers especially if they caused any damages to the car. I even had to pay for the oil changes which they should have been paying for and not after the oil spill that was caused by them. Bad business ethics and do NOT take care of their customers.

Do not trust this place! I was told 24-48 hours for vehicle inspection and they held my car for over 5 days! Its on recording of them guaranteeing by a certain date. Tried to contact multiple times and got no response. This place is very unprofessional.

On November 13, 2024, my family and I went to Gerald Kia of Naperville excited to see some amazing vehicles (2025 K5 LXS and K5 GT-Line). We met with Ky and he was amazing and knowledgeable. As time went on and we were negotiating a deal, that is when the disappointment and embarrassment for this dealership occurred. The sales manager CARLOS (unprofessionally dressed and wearing a baseball cap) came over to Ky’s desk and berated and yelled at me for the price and terms I was asking. It was unprofessional and very verbally aggressive, yelling at me, pretending he “didn’t understand “ the price and terms my family was asking for. First of all, how is yelling and insulting a father of 2 in front of his wife and kids going to foster a deal? Secondly, how can a person in a sales manger position, having conducted hundreds of deals, pretend to “not understand “ or be confused on what sort of deal and terms is needed for myself and my family. I could have paid cash for the deal then and there, but was so put off we left. The finance manager did a great job trying to save the deal, but in what world is it ok to yell at a potential customer in front of their family. Please do not do business here until CARLOS is replaced or coached on basic proper customer communication.

We have had several Kia leases, and our last lease, which was purchased at Elgin Kia a few years ago just ended, and our salesman Kosta and the entire Elgin Kia team made our purchasing of our lease so easy! They are also professional, kind, the facility is state-of-the-art and super clean! They are even so kid friendly when you bring your little ones. Highly recommend anyone and everyone to purchase their next Kia from this dealership! Specifically use Kosta as your salesman! I must say I’ve never seen a better and more honest car salesman than Kosta! I have used countless salesman throughout many years, and I have never had such a great experience that all the experiences I have had with Kosta. Paige Weinhaus Is the Best Service Adviser I have ever met and Jacob was an excellent Mechanic!! I have had many cars! From Corvettes to Cadillacs and the service was not good! My NUMBER 1 concern is the SERVICE DEPT If the dealership doesn't have a good Service Dept thats a big concern! I was extremely pleased with the Service I have been getting at Auffenberg Kia in Shilo Paige and Jacob were very thorough and explained things in detail as well as making sure that I was very satisfied with the service! I brought my family to Courtesy Kia a couple of years ago and purchased two vehicles from their lot and later ordered a third; while replacing our Fords. We sat down with a salesman named John Bush and he has become the icon of terrific quality and trust. The process was immense with three people eyeballing him, asking questions, wanting demonstrations, and very vocal about what we wanted and needed. But John never faltered and answered every question we tossed him and made sure the paperwork was finalized for both us (our family) and the front office. After the purchases for my wife and daughter, I decided to go back the following year for myself and would not dare go anywhere else; except straight to John’s desk. Each time, John went over everything and discussed options, taking me back to see a model that had just come in that was being prepared for another customer that helped me decide for sure! What makes a salesperson great is what John is; by listening very carefully to what our daughter was saying about her excitement for her new Niro. John has extensive knowledge about vehicles and pointed out the family friendliness points of the Sportage to my wife. He was so transparent about his desire to really help us acquire the vehicles we really wanted with full honesty. Patient, empathetic, and remaining in touch to ensure we were satisfied with the vehicles, he helped make such a positive decision to buy! We were very honored to have found a salesperson who was not looking for a quick sale but a happy family when we drove away from the lot! Such wealth of knowledge, kindness, patience, and a desire to make the customer happy is why John Bush will always be the Salesman of the Year to us and for our next vehicles to come! Often imitated but shall never be duplicated in any way! Lou Fusz will only benefit substantially with the expertise and corporate knowledge of John Bush!

We had been looking at the Kia Sorento for a while but dreaded going in to deal with another horrible sales experience. I was pleasantly surprised. We were greeted by Ted Raines and he was awesome! No pressure, knew his stuff and Mike Miller also made a point to introduce himself and welcome us. Derek in the finance office was also fabulous. I would recommend this dealer to anyone looking for a good, honest deal. Thank you Mike Miller, Ted Raines and Derek! Love my 2016 Sorento!

Poor service...avoid at all costs - Leeseeigh

I went to this dealership to purchase a vehicle. We had our financing already lined up and just needed to get the credit union the numbers and the deal would be locked in. We went to view a Kia Cadenza that was offered for an amazing price. Our salesman (Brent) was initially very personable and helpful. We worked out numbers quickly and had them send the purchase order to the bank. It took a little bit for the bank to process the paperwork and get final clearance from their lending dept. Once that was all clear (this was 5pm on a Thursday evening, the dealership closes at 6pm), we called our sales rep to ensure it would still be okay if we got our paperwork done at the credit union and we came to pick up that night. He said this was fine and we proceeded with the deal. We got a phone call from our sales rep to check on our progress around 5:45 (understandable) and we told him we were pretty much finished with the paperwork. This is where it went downhill... He then asked me for how much the check was for. It was exactly the amount they listed in the purchase order. He then asked me if we were bringing the title for our trade...I told him no and that he would receive that directly from the credit union. He insisted he needed the title right away to allow us to take delivery. I confirmed with the credit union that the title would be sent to the dealer promptly but that was not good enough. He asked the credit union rep to call his finance manager. The story only gets better... We had our credit union rep call the finance manager. She put him on speakerphone (thank goodness). She confirms what I had told our sales rep...that they would receive the title in the mail from their corporate office. He said he can't do that and that he needs the title. She assured him that he would have the title and he said, "I can't trust you. I don't know you." (They are calling from a well-respected credit union with offices spread across the STL area). She then offers to prepare a lien release or something to show that the loan is paid. He refuses. She then says she can give him a check for the full amount and then he could send only the payoff back (she was originally trying to cut out the middle man, smart). Once he realized how ridiculous that was, he said that we can move forward with the lien release and proceed with delivery. As we were preparing to hang up, he said... "Are they still there?" And she informed him that we were. He then asked if we are aware that they close at 6? And then I interjected to say that we were aware and our salesperson agreed to stay to close the deal. He placed us on hold. When he came back on the line, he told us that they are not willing to stay. They thought we would be there sooner. We had the check ready and all paperwork was signed. He rambled on about something related to the time and in my shock, I told him to keep the car and sell it to someone else. I understand that folks want to get out of work on time. I am human and I get it, but when we already had an agreement and you renege...not only that, but you're extremely rude to me and the reps from the credit union... I felt disrespected and devalued.
