My husband and I had an absolutely wonderful experience at Honda of Orland Park, thanks entirely to our salesperson, Malik. After a few weeks of research, we narrowed our search down to a Honda. Walking into the dealership on a weekend, I’ll admit, was a bit overwhelming - there were many representatives ready to greet us, and at first I wasn’t quite sure how to navigate the experience. Malik immediately changed that. From the start, he made us feel comfortable, welcomed, and at ease. What truly stood out was Malik’s patience and thoughtfulness. As someone who had no idea what information was helpful to communicate when buying a car, I really appreciated how he asked insightful, intentional questions that helped clarify what actually mattered to us. He took the time to truly understand our priorities and guided us toward the perfect car. One moment that made a big impression on me was Malik’s maturity and emotional intelligence. Sensing that I was feeling overwhelmed, he actually reintroduced himself once we moved into a quieter setting, almost as a “reset.” That small but thoughtful gesture made a huge difference and immediately helped me feel more relaxed and confident moving forward. I recently experienced a service needed issue with my vehicle. Everyone in the service department, especially Nick Cooper, space were extremely efficient and helpful from arranging to have my car towed to the dealership to arranging for a loaner to be used during the time of repairs and fast and efficient repair work done. Leesa, our salesperson was very good. She worked to get my wife into the exact CR-V she wanted. My only problem with the entire process had to do with our trade in. They stared at $2800 under Kelly Bluebook. I mentioned Carmax and they said they would redo it using Carmax. Why did I have to ask for that? That came back still well below the Kelly price but we took it. Then during the finance process the actual number used for the trade in was less than the Carmax price and I pointed it out. The finance guy went into an explanation that it had to do with taxes and we were getting the same trade value. It made no sense to either my wife or I. It was exactly the kind of double talk that frustrates me to no end at most car dealers. We used the Costco buying program but at the end of the day I’m not sure how much it actually saved us due to all the double talk. The finance process was very rushed and I felt kind of steamrolled. Bottom line is my wife loves the car and I’m glad we bought it.

Thank you Jonathan Dawson! You made my car buying experience as easy as possible. O'Brien Honda had the exact specs I was looking for in the Civic Hybrid. Jonathan had been dealing with me over several months to work a deal and was always professional and courteous with me. He was prompt in returning my emails and went above and beyond what I was expecting when I initially inquired about the Civic. He sent me a video walk around of the exterior and interior of the car. Being that I am 2.5 hrs. away from the dealership, this was invaluable for peace of mind of trying to buy a car sight unseen. When we finally agreed to a price, he made it happen quickly. He walked me through everything I needed to do and even relayed my financing rate before I even set foot there. There was no hard sell, just straight professionalism. This was much appreciated. Matt Couch dealt with my financing and he was great also. Taking the time to explain all of the products and making sure all of my paperwork were all in order. There were no games played and that made my experience enjoyable and that is also appreciated. I was in and out in about an hour! Yes, I needed 5 hours roundtrip to this dealership, but I would do it all over again for the experience with this dealership.
