Deceptive dealer. Plays the "oh, he's stepped out of the office I'll transfer you to his voice mail" trick over and over.
They do not return phone calls.
They sell "phony" service contracts from a firm in TEXAS, named Warrantech. Check THEM out if you want to see a lot of negative reviews and complaints.
They refuse to remedy a safety problem that wasn't apparent until cold weather. (they sold the car in June full well knowing that the heater and defroster would not be checked out when it is 107 degrees outside). "It's been over six months, sir, so we're not going to fix THAT!
They and their service company, Transmissions Unlimited, play a "hot potato" game with customers, each saying that it the other entity's problem.
Transmissions Unlimited says "We are not part of Aufmuth" but every auto that needs service from Aufmuth is sent to Transmissions Unlimited.
Both Aufmuth and Transmissions Unlimited claim that they don't know what is covered by the after market service contract from Warrantech, the very same contract that the salesman push and push and push. There are only three levels of coverage and both Mike Aufmuth and Darryl from Transmissions Unlimited claim they have to call the service contract company to find out what is covered. So for years they have been pushing and profiting from the sale of this contract, but neither of them claim to know what is on the three levels of coverage! That's some sharp business people there!
Darryl at Transmissions Unlimited Can't fix one thing without breaking another. When the vehicle was purchased I discovered in two days that it needed a fuel pump. Aufmuth would only replace it if I gave up two other concessions they had made when the vehicle was purchased, namely new tires and collision damage to a quarter panel. IN the process of changing the fuel pump, Transmissions Unlimited fried the electric mirror system somehow. Their take on the matter-"It's just a coincidence" and I probably didn't realize it was broken!!! REALLY??? Yesterday, with a leak in the windshield defrost system only and at Transmissions Unlimited for troubleshooting , the vehicle "waiting on word from Aufmuth about coverage" Darryl said he never touched anything and won't until word is given from Aufmuth. When I went to pick up the vehicle after it sat all day at Transmissions Unlimited waiting a word from the dealer, Aufmuth, the system was now spewing radiator steam in to the cab when neither the heater nor the defroster was running. Darryl had told me he didn't touch a thing, but the shop worker who drove my vehicle out front to give to me said, "oh yeah, Darryl was taking things apart and removed the glove box and "checked out" the heater core. So whereas before I had no problem until the defroster was operated, now there is constant radiator steam in the cab whether the heater and defroster is operating OR NOT!!! So Darryl has broken more than he has repaired, and he lies about it or says it is a coincidence.
