I was less pleased with the finance department, that never asked me what timeline I planned to pay off my vehicle in (X months) or what I was looking for as far as a monthly payment. The finance rate was also quite poor (4.9%) compared to other local lending options. I was brought into the room with the finance person, started signing paperwork, and then she said, "okay, this is what your monthly payment is going to be, and you are going to pay it out over this many months". This was never discussed with me to give me a chance to compare rates or try to pay the vehicle off sooner at a lower interest rate. At this point we had been at the dealership for a couple of hours and I just accepted the terms for what they are and plan to refinance the loan later. Even if I had not shopped around just picked Visions or SFCU, I could have saved 1600$ over the course of the loan (which I still intend to do). More
