The car buying process there is stress free and they see to every detail. The service department there is top-notch and Milt does an excellent job of making sure all of our needs are met. Because they have seen first-hand the level of customer care that the staff at Williams provides, my parents have purchased their last two vehicles from Williams and my sister came from out of state to purchase two vehicles from Williams. I highly recommend them for both a vehicle purchase and for an excellent.service experience. More
2012 Audi R8 V10 I am extremely unhappy with my experience at Williams Auto World in Lansing,Michigan http://www.williamsaudioflansing.com. I just purchased a Cert I am extremely unhappy with my experience at Williams Auto World in Lansing,Michigan http://www.williamsaudioflansing.com. I just purchased a Certified Pre-Owned 2012 Audi R8 V10 from them, or what they claim to be "Certified Pre-Owned". Tavi Paler was my salesmen, he told me the dry rotted tires on the vehicle passed the CPO inspection. He also promised me the world at the time of purchase. 5 minutes after leaving the lot a ticking noise started to appear from the rear braking area of the vehicle, I called Tavi and he assured it was nothing to worry about and it would be taken care of when I brought it back in to pick up some accessories that were ordered for me. After showing off my car to my friends I quickly learned that the tires were extremely dangerous to be driving on and the ticking noise started to get louder. 6 days after purchasing the vehicle I decided it was time to bring the car back into the dealer to get the ticking noise assessed and have the tires looked at again. When I called to let the service advisor (Clint) know I would be coming in with the car he was EXTREMELY RUDE to me over the phone. I showed up at about 1:30PM on Tuesday May 5th with the vehicle where Tavi met me outside. Again, they claimed the tires were fine and did not need to be replaced. I decided to offer to pay for new tires because I felt my life would be in danger if I continued driving the vehicle on the current tires. I asked Clint(Service Advisor) if I paid for the new tires would you cover the alignment and M&B of the tires only to be yelled back in a rude tone "why would we cover that for you?". Frustrated as can be, I decided to leave the dealer and take my vehicle elsewhere. On my way out Tavi approached me and begged me to stay so they could make things right. I stayed and he had his service manager go for a ride with me to try and diagnose the ticking noise. Upon entering my R8 the service manager said " wow, this is my first time in one of these(while caressing my dashboard)". At this point I began to feel even more uncomfortable leaving my R8 with these people. He then claimed to not be able to hear the noise and asked if I would allow the tech who would be working on my R8 to go for a ride with me. Although I was hesitant I allowed him to come for a ride to try and hear the ticking. When the tech entered the vehicle, he then told me "this is the first R8 il be working on". Now I am beyond uncomfortable leaving my R8 with this dealer. Before our ride was over I asked him how they would go about fixing my loose e brake handle, the tech told me" I would suggest prying it off and putting some glue underneath and that should stop it from moving around". At this point I am in total disbelief at the last hour of my life. After getting back to the dealer , Tavi was very incessant about me allowing them to put the car onto the lift so we could try and diagnose the noise that way. After discussing it with my friend we decided to allow them to do so. After the tech backed my R8 into the bay, HE OPENED MY DRIVER DOOR INTO THE LIFT AND SCUFFED THE BOTTOM OF MY DOOR RIGHT IN FRONT OF MY FRIEND AND I. Tavi right away began to argue that it did not happen and we were seeing things. I then told them to please get my car out and that I would be taking it to Fred Lavery of Birmingham for them to complete service. Upon entering my R8 to drive to Fred Lavery I noticed the tech scratched the top of my Sport Steering wheel with either his ring or finger nails between the time he moved it from in front of the showroom into the service bay. Tavi, feeling bad, told me go ahead and take it to Fred Lavery and we will take care of whatever the issues are. I then said Thank you very much and proceeded to take the vehicle to Fred Lavery. 2 days later it was discovered that the R8 needed new tires, brakes, and a 15,000 Mile service to pass CPO. I called Tavi to find out what they were going to do to make things right and he told me they would not be replacing tires, brakes , or doing the service. He then said we have nothing else to discuss and hung up on me. More
Techs dont know what they are doing Took my Audi for an oil change and when I brought it home, the car was leaking oil. I took my car back to Williams and they supposedly checked Took my Audi for an oil change and when I brought it home, the car was leaking oil. I took my car back to Williams and they supposedly checked something and claimed a seal was leaking in which I felt was ironic seeing as I had never had problems before. I picked up the car and it was leaking again In which this time after I took it back they stated they cleaned something off and if it kept leaking would have to have something repaird. I think they broke something during the oil change and wanted to make sure I would spend more money. The car stopped leaking after the 3rd time. About 2 months later, my check engine light came on, took the car to Williams, took them about 2hrd to supposedly diagnosis the problem and I had to pay 100 an hr for diagnosis. They told me what was wrong and I had the car fixed, cost a about 600 total. Problem is the check engine light came back on a week after it was supposedly fixed..i called them and they said they can hook the car up to the machine for free and tell me the code for diagnosis but in order to tell me exactly whats wrong, would have to pay 100 hr again. This is ridiculous and I shouldn't have to pay for them to look over work that was done by them. This whole ordeal caused me to get rid of my audi due to the several problems had within an 8mtn period and i purchased an american car. Definitely wouldn't recommend Williams as they are extremely expensive and will charge you for recurring problems! More
Terrible! I brought my Jetta there for oil change and tire replacement. They said it would be ready in a day. In four days I gave them a call and they said it w I brought my Jetta there for oil change and tire replacement. They said it would be ready in a day. In four days I gave them a call and they said it would be done tomorrow. Next day I came by and they did not even started! I just took my car and found another place. They do not care about their customers at all. Never again!!! More
It was ALWAYS HORRIBLE! DON'T GO! They are very unprofessional! I went there several times for A/C problems of my 2009 Jetta. They said my A/C works fine. However, I know it doesn't!!! They are very unprofessional! I went there several times for A/C problems of my 2009 Jetta. They said my A/C works fine. However, I know it doesn't!!! It takes 30 min to blow out cold air. Or I need to trun it on and off several times and it blows cold air out. Is this OK?!/works fine? They don't do anything about it and charge me a ton! Moreover, one day I heard some weird sound from the right front. I went back again. They told me it was the control arms and both in the front had to be replaced. The quote they gave me was around $1000. I accepted it. BUT when I drove home, the noise was still there! I totally agree what the previous reviews said. They basically just rip people off! Since the noise was still there I went back again. This time I was not very nice. I almost yelled at them I paid $1000 and they didn't fixed my problem. Then they checked my car again. They said Oh, it was not the control arms. It's another thing. I was like... ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!! The person said, we can put your old control arms back and change the newly found problematic piece without charging you for labors. WHAT A GENEROUS DEAL! Otherwise, they would charge me $375 more for the materials and the labor. Basically, they meant, if I picked opt 1, they will only charge me the fee of the piece. Opt 2 was put my old control ares back and charge me labor fee AGAIN! For the labor fee, the first time was close to $300, but they only worked on it for less than 1.5 hours. I asked them about it. They said, the old one needed to teach the young one how to do it. I was like... WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT!!! You should train them, but not to rip off your customer for the new techs TUITION FEE!!! Apparently, they didn't want to change my bill. I paid around $200 for the material fee. I WOULD NEVER GO BACK AGAIN!!! THEY RIP PEOPLE OFF!!! More
We took our 10 month old 2012 VW Jetta in for noise from the rear wheel. I was certain that it was a bad wheel bearing. Of course it was. However, the dealership tried to tell us that the rear rim was be the rear wheel. I was certain that it was a bad wheel bearing. Of course it was. However, the dealership tried to tell us that the rear rim was bent and needed to be replaced ($500 for a new rim) and that the bent rim is what cause the wheel bearing ($530 repair) to go bad and would not cover the bearing repair under warranty. The car was handling fine and not vibrating at all. We took the car to a different repair shop and I asked to watch while they spun the wheel. Turns out there is absolutely nothing wrong with the rim or the tire. Then I had to question the $25.00 shop charge for repair. When I asked what that was for their response was it for 'oil disposal' or 'tire disposal'. Funny, I didn't take my car in for an oil change and the tires are still on my car. I will never do business with William Auto World ever again! More
Sales Associate was friendly. Was the staff here, Sales Associate was friendly. Was the staff here, honest-not sure. Bought a 2003 Honda Accord with only 40,000, excellent body, looks like a BRAND NEW car inside and out-test drove the car, ran great. No reason to think anything was wrong. Purchased the car the next day. About 40 days after purchase, husband was driving home from Chicago and had problems with the system. Could not drive it any further, stuck in Indiana and had to have our car towed back to East Lansing from Indiana. Close $3000 in transmission and towing fees later, our car MIGHT be fixed. What is this company willing to do for us? ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. I understand they can't "predict" these things if really the knew nothing about this. If they DID know, shame on them-that's something they have to live with and feel good about...However, you would think they would try to do SOMETHING. NOPE-NOTHING. We will be in the market around this time next year for a new car-they will not be getting our business, or any of our friends/family for that matter..... More
Came in to get my rear brake pads replaced. They replace the front brakes instead. I could not get my car back until I gave them $600 for doing service I did not ask for. The owner made this decission. This the front brakes instead. I could not get my car back until I gave them $600 for doing service I did not ask for. The owner made this decission. This used the be an excellent shop but last 3 times in here, it was a cluster. Must have different techs, employees or something. They really don't seem to know what is going on or how to fix a car. I am now going to a smaller, independent shop and find it a much better value and with a higher degree of confidence that my cars will be fixed/maintained properly. More

My car had some electrical issues. Power cut off at some times. But since it is not occasional, I cannot replicate the error when I went to dealership. But car is going weird. One day transmission gives one times. But since it is not occasional, I cannot replicate the error when I went to dealership. But car is going weird. One day transmission gives one error, other day I cannot open doors and it fakes like the battery is dead. My driving experience reduced significantly because car is not reliable. Anyway dealership cannot understand the problem and offered to change whole power supply system. And they did not guarantee that this will solve the problem. Well obvious thing is the mechanic I dealt with cannot figure out the problem. I have to live with this fault, because they do not have smart mechanics. But unfortunately its' the only dealership around, and I don't want to drive my car to another city. Even though I'm willing to pay their premium service fees, I don't have an access to a quality mechanic. And they do not offer smart ways to fix the car. If there is something wrong with the car, the parts should be changed. They are not fixing they are just replacing the parts, which is very savvy way to make huge profits. Most of the mechanics can able to change parts I guess, the good mechanics fix the problems. A friend of mine had an Audi A6, had some problems with engine. They offered to change all of the engine for a huge price tag. He chose to go to a savvy mechanic instead of these Volkswagen certified dumb. It cost 1/6 the price they quote and he did not have to change the whole engine. In sum when they offer you to change a part of the car, think that they either cannot figure out the problem, they want to make money in a guaranteed way, and last possibility is it really needs to be changed.
