Excellent actual service experience at Wally’s. Phil is excellent, very personable and very knowledgeable! Only problem was scheduling an appt.. Had to leave a message during regular operating hours (IT WAS NOT FOR PHIL) and, of course, there was a back and forth of calls before actual being able to schedule due to missed calls and unavailability to answer returned calls. I went through the automated phone service and followed the prompts for the Service department. Maybe there should be more than one person that can schedule appointments during operating hours? More
Steve the salesman was excellent, and that's where it ended! Then the finance people took over. They obviously needed to make a sale. On my first visit I sat in the showroom for nearly 2 hours while the ended! Then the finance people took over. They obviously needed to make a sale. On my first visit I sat in the showroom for nearly 2 hours while they recalculated a monthly leasing rate about 3 or 4 times determined to get me to sign a contract before they would allow me to leave even though I kept telling Steve this was just my first stop on a car shopping trip and I needed to check with other dealerships. Their final offer was unrealistically too good to refuse; they offered an unrealistic trade-in discount. BUT I still said I needed to think about it. At any rate, I took the deal and when I went back the next evening to pick up the car, I spent 3 hours signing contract and watching everything transferred from my old vehicle to the new one and then they sprung it on me that the rate was $34 higher per month than what they offered. In effect they took back every penny of the trade-in discount and more. The monthly rate still isn't that bad but due to the dishonesty of how they operated I will never go to Wally's for another sale or lease. They could've called earlier in the day to say the rate changed, but they knew that I could also potentially say then the deal was off and I am going to shop around more - they needed to make a sale. It was very good experience buying our Rouge from Jamie, who was cool and calm during the process. There were time that I was not happy with certain things but Jamie worked through the issue and at the en who was cool and calm during the process.
