I am so grateful to VW of Panama City service department for the excellent experience I had with them. I went in for an oil change and a diagnostic on my engine only to find out I needed a new engine. L for the excellent experience I had with them. I went in for an oil change and a diagnostic on my engine only to find out I needed a new engine. Luckily I had 15,000 miles left on my warranty and it was all covered! I especially want to thank Robert Jenkins for all he did to order the parts, submit it all to the warranty company for approval and get the job done! He even got the approval for my car rental! I also want to thank the mechanic Jarrod Brinza for getting it done in less time than expected! The car drives beautifully now and I’m so appreciative to him and everyone else involved! Great job! Level of personal care at the local level, from initial purchase thru all servicing so far is top notch! That being said, a corporate decision was made to handle all service appointments through a call center in Houston Texas. For a dealership in Panama City Florida. You call the LOCAL service number listed on the LOCAL website, you talk to Houston. Which I wouldn’t have known had they, the call center, not given me inaccurate information. Had to take my VW in for a recall repair. I was told, by the call center agent, it was a 2-4 hr repair. They also told me shuttle service was limited to a 15 mile radius. Being a retired single person living outside that radius, I would have to wait. I arrive at the dealership and they were shocked I was going to wait. I told them 2-4 hrs was ok They told me it was more like 5-6 hrs. And even tho their Lyft service is the 15 mile limit, they went above and beyond to provide me shuttle service home and back again when the car was done. Huge accolades to Matt, Royce, and Paula for so quickly and professionally taking care of a situation that never would’ve happened had I NOT been dealing with a call center hundreds of miles away rather than someone local to me. More
