After speaking with the staff, I was very confident that this was the right dealership and was happy to make the trip! The staff was trusting and very informative! Great car buying experience I have been a lifelong Honda/Toyota car owner. After a bad experience with a Toyota dealer in Park Ridge, I found myself at the Autobarn. From the m I have been a lifelong Honda/Toyota car owner. After a bad experience with a Toyota dealer in Park Ridge, I found myself at the Autobarn. From the moment I walked in Eryk was welcoming and knowledgeable. I broke one of the cardinal rules of car buying and let him know I needed a car. That never factored into the experience. I actually felt like he understood my predicament of having a car totaled. Eryk then got some assistance from Josh who was just as nice and knowledgeable. They guided me through the nuances of buying a Volkswagen, which was different than my usual Japanese purchases. I test drove one, and settled on a Jetta Sport. The deal was fair and even though Adam in the Finance Department, put the bite on, the products and prices made sense and I purchased them as well. Overall, great experience. Oh, Vic the GM was also great and was pretty funny too. More

We drove an hour plus after speaking with Mark about a Jeep they had on the lot we found on the internet. He meet us when we got there and handed us over to Eric Buszynski who gave us our best service at any dealership I have ever had. Adam knew it was late and we had a drive ahead of us and work quickly for us on paperwork when we purchased the Jeep with our trade in. There were a few minor issues but nothing really to worry about because everything that Vic & Eryk said they would do as a company they did. "They say what they are going to do and do it" that was so refreshing. I would recommend them to anyone and I know where I will be shopping If in the market for another car the hour plus drive was worth it. Oh Yea even the porters took care of us and shinned up our Jeep for the road... Thanks Everyone for the great service. More

Amazing at first I recently bought a 2002 New Beetle from the Autobarn in Mt Prospect as an upgrade to my former rust bucket and as a treat for getting into the colleg I recently bought a 2002 New Beetle from the Autobarn in Mt Prospect as an upgrade to my former rust bucket and as a treat for getting into the college and program of my dreams, and was excited to hear that the fantastic salesman Chris Krause was willing to help me buy my “new” used car. I was ecstatic to finally not be visiting my mechanic once a week but that was proved untrue. Within the month, my “upgrade” had a thousand dollar water pump and thermostat bill, a sixty dollar exhaust bill from rust, and now over a thousand for the transmission slipping. My “wonderful” beetle is completely trashed, and it is clear that the beetle has never been serviced in anyway. The transmission slipping had two separate mechanics (speciality Volkswagen) stating that nobody has taken care of the car. The Autobarn Volkswagen of Mt Prospect did not even bother with doing routine maintenance, and had no problem selling a car to a freshman in college that cannot hope to cover the cost of such expensive repairs. I contacted one of the managers to tell them about my hefty mechanic bills, and Joe Parks said he would talk to the repair department and give me a call back. That was on 9/2 and I have still gotten no call back, and it’s been three days. I’ve left a voicemail, and another with the receptionist. It seems like my car troubles are not a concern of the Autobarn. For anyone young or in college, I do not recommend going to this dealership because of the amount of repairs that will pile up due to their lack of maintenance. As soon as I graduate, I’ll have plenty of money to buy several cars throughout my life, and it will not be from the Autobarn Volkswagen of Mt Prospect. More
