I purchased my car from this dealership in 2005. Since then, I have had all of my service (routine, warranty and minor repairs) done by them. On my most recent visit, xx was my service advisor and he answered all of my questions, made sure I was aware of some important recall information and gave me a very accurate estimate on when my car would be ready. Finally, they give customers free car washes. Do not underestimate the value of a free car wash in March in Chicago! More

I was researching different options for improving the performance of my 2010 WB Jetta. Among the Chip tuning companies I considered were GIAC, APR, Revo and Unitronic. I finally settled on APR due to the performance of my 2010 WB Jetta. Among the Chip tuning companies I considered were GIAC, APR, Revo and Unitronic. I finally settled on APR due to the ability to change tuning programs using the cruise control stalk. During my research I also found out about a relatively new product to help protect my turbo engine. This product is made by a manufacturer of VW OE air, oil and fuel filters and is unique in that it separates air and oil from the turbo blow back and routes the separated oil back to the oil sump. When I found out the Mt. Prospect Autobarn was now an APR dealer I called with questions and spoke with Jason. He answered all my questions regarding the upgrade process, pricing and results attained from previous similar work. I asked if there had been any previous installations of the air oil separator, He did mention one previous instance in which the dealersips service department was called upon to correct what the customer attempted to do himself. Since this was a fairly new product with sparse application/installation specific data I decided to hold off on this one aspect until there was a larger body of knowledge. Jason also promised to see what he could find out about this product (Mann Provent 200) from his supplier contacts and was suggested less elegant alternatives. I told him I had some other unrelated issues that needed sorting out and I would call back in a couple of days. Two days later I called Jason and set up my appointment to install my APR stage I tune. He also mentioned Carbonio intakes for my car were also available. I told him I was good since I already installed a K&N air filter. The day of my appointment Jason mentioned his attempts to get further application specific information from the manufacturer were so far futile he also asked if I considered installing a three inch downpipe. I explained I read on VWVortex about people with stage I tunes and three inch downpipes reverting back to stock downpipes since they felt the slightly increased resistance helped performance. He also said the increased performance would require 5k oil change intervals instaed of 10k. I told him I was already a step ahead since I did a break in oil change at 1500, another at 5k and I will bring my car back at 10k. Next my car was treated to the beautiful alchemy of an APR stage I tune. The only cons I can think of is that the entire process took longer than expected. Close to three hours start to finish. I was expecting something closer to 90 minutes. The other was I was told to expect email of owners documentation from the dealership/APR which I still have yet to receive. I did get an APR owners manual with instructions on how change programs and actual instruction on how to program before I left. More
Both Sales Person and Manager were helpful and showed the attention to us customers. Price was acceptable, test drive gave us all to see all features in action. Just wanted to give some kudos to Tek the service rep that assisted me with my recent service appointment. I have yet to get less than great service from any rep in the service department at VW Mount Pro that assisted me with my recent service appointment. Just because I bought my car at this dealership does not mean I have to service it here, but I do, and I always will, because of reps like Tek! More

I had to have my car towed and contacted the Autobarn of Mt. Prospect for assistance. Jason Riforgiato was assigned to help me and he did an awesome job. He called me when my car arrived at The Autobarn and continued to be in constant contact with me regarding the repairs needed. He explained in detail what was wrong with it and what would need to be repaired. He made what could have been a very stressful situation much easier for me. I greatly appreciate his assistance. I was even served a complimentary lunch while I waited for my new vehicle to be prepped. I own two Volkswagens. While I love my vehicles, I may not have purchased the second one had it not been for John Paul being in the service department. Let's face it, at some point, a vehicle needs service. I count on the integrity and honesty of John Paul. I have joked with him that should he leave this dealer and work for Audi, I would buy one of those and follow him there. The overall experience at Autobarn has always been pleasant. The waiting room is always neat and inviting. I actually do not mind hanging out there, strange as that may sound. They have a great complementary coffee machine, fruit selection and water. There is also a nice beverage vending machine as well as a snack machine. I have also become a frequent shopper in the parts and accessory store. It is well stocked and maintained. I appreciate the "no pressure" approach of all the staff. John Paul always gets me out in a timely fashion and keeps me informed of the progress along the way. I do not need a new vehicle in the near future, but when I do, if John Paul is there, Autobarn gets my sale. More
