Daughters Jetta 2.0L 4cyl car had water leak. She should of just been charged to change the thermostat housing as that was leaking. They changed a two year old water pump and the thermostat housing also aft of just been charged to change the thermostat housing as that was leaking. They changed a two year old water pump and the thermostat housing also after they figured out the water pump was not bad. I could not prove it they changed the water pump by mistake by looking at an old water stain on the block from a prevoius bad water pump. The charge for changing the thermostat housing at 1.5 hrs. for labor is excessive. Thermostats housing is right on the front of the block and is only two bolts in it. It is like less then 15 minutes to change, and if you now how to add the water and anti freze back in through the water temp switch housing on the aft end of the block. You can fill the radiator and block in under fifteen minutes probably less then five minutes after you learn how to take the clip out of the switch and pull it out of the elbow. The water reservoir is the wrong way to fill the engine block on the 2.0L 4 cylinder. The water will not go in though the resevoir very well at all unless you either overheat the dickens out of the engine, or you start and stop the engine and let the car cool several times to get the air out of the block after either the water pump change or the thermostat change. Believe me learn how to take out the clip for the water temp switch on the plastc elbow on the aft end of the engine to put the water in. It works so slick you can not beileve it is not in the manual. VW has a thing or two to learn about their cars and their dealships crooked tricks in my book. This dealship rates a 1 to a - 1 in my book if they changed the water pump by mistake they should of fessed up to it. The service tech even said the thermostat flange housing leak is a very common thing on the VW 2.0L. I also have had to change the flange on the aft end for warping and leaking on my wifes Cabrio with the 2.0 in her 1995 Cabrio. More
New Vehicle was delivered with paint defects and loose body panels. Multiple attempts orally and in writing to have this dealership correct these factory defects with OEM quality materials and workmanshi body panels. Multiple attempts orally and in writing to have this dealership correct these factory defects with OEM quality materials and workmanship, place a substitute vehicle at my disposal during the duration of the repairs, and with no permanent record in the vehicle VIN file have been met with conflicting and confusing responses or arrogant disregard. An involvement of the manufacturer's "Customer Care" department has been equally unsuccessful, citing the fact that the franchised dealership is an independent business entity and is not directly controlled by the manufacturer. My simple advice to any prospective buyer would be "Caveat Emptor" More
They dubbelcharged us, although we had bank-slip proof of first payment. The representatives are very unpolite and not willing to help. We had to wait in the dealership for several hours every time we went first payment. The representatives are very unpolite and not willing to help. We had to wait in the dealership for several hours every time we went, even though there were no other customers. We strongly urge everyone to avoid this dealership. More
