AVOID this dealership like the plague. The finance manager, Inez Carrillo, is an extremely unprofessional individual. DO NOT lease from these people, let alone deal with their incompetent sales and management teams. An FTC complaint was filed against them for attempting at $850 for a "safety check" even though they presented me with a document that clearly stated "NOT REQUIRED BY THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA - OPTIONAL" - which I have a photo of. On top of the $850 to "inspect the car" - they wanted me to leave the car for 4 hours so they can find things to fix. After their laundry list that I was told I'd need to get repaired there, THEN they'd release it to me. LOL, it's a three year old car. After some questions which were then overpowered, she stated that some dealerships charge up to "$4,000 to certify cars before they release it". I've confirmed with an attorney that that's a load of xx. If you must purchase your VW, call corporate and have them walk you through the process. Somehow the "safety check" is not required when you do this over the phone with corporate yet they are the same company ;) They will try to sell water to a fish if they could, just DON'T BE FOOLED! Volkswagen is a disgrace for running such a poor and fraudulent franchise business! VW needs to take responsibility for these rogue dealers.
So happy I decided to purchase my first ever car from here. Great 2021 Tiguan - it is perfect. Everyone here was a team and very helpful all around. They made sure I was all set on all my concerns. Special shout out to Eddy, Johnathan, Inez, and Kimo. Thank you so much, very much appreciate it - Brooke, Megan & Trent.
Charged my ev here. It was 29 minutes and 5 Kwh for $15. The dealers sets the rates. This is 30x what it costs at home and 10x most other chargers. It is 5x *anywhere* else, even the ones at gouge. If they are going to stick it to passerby's, just how hard are they going to stick it to you when buying or servicing a car. Don't go here for anything.
My daughter purchased a 2013 Tiguan at this dealership in September 2020. A mere 11 months and 5,000 miles later the quotation for all service requirements at the same dealership exceeded $2,000. Aside from routine items consistent with total mileage, additional items included fluid leaks; replacing split arm bushings in the suspension, fixing a door that never closed correctly and other items. It is hard to believe that an effective pre-sale inspection was carried out or that issues were not ignored at the time of sale.
I was towed in because of a flat tire. I did not have the key to take the lug nuts off. I ended up getting two tires and they changed me 110 dollars extra to take off the locked nuts. When the car was finished a young service man come to and said the light on the dash would go off as you drive it. I drove it for some time and it did not go off. They told me to bring it back. I wait for it and 3 hours later they tell me I have a bad sender. It was working when I got towed in. But the killer was they wanted 295 dollars for one sender. I did not have it done. I sent a email and talked to lots of people and know one got back to me. Will I ended up going to the Tire place across the street. And had it taken care of for a third of the price. So be careful!!!!!
I had the most pleasant experience at the VW Santa Monica service thanks to Mr. Rockett. Very professional, knowledgeable, he made the whole experience a breeze. A model of customer service. Thank you.
