Bad experience purchasing a new car I negotiated the purchase of a new 2017 Mustang Shelby GT350R with one of Vista Ford's sales associates, and was told that they agreed to sell me the I negotiated the purchase of a new 2017 Mustang Shelby GT350R with one of Vista Ford's sales associates, and was told that they agreed to sell me the car. I told them up front before negotiations took place that I would be flying in from Denver to purchase the car because there were none near me. I purchased plane tickets and a rental car and forwarded my flight itinerary, my proof of insurance, and a copy of my driver's license as requested and specified a time to meet the salesperson. One day later, I received an e-mail from the salesperson that the car had been sold that night. I received no opportunity to match or beat the price quoted to the other owner. This was a significant waste of time and money for me. At best, this signifies gross incompetence in terms of the ability of the sales staff and managers to communicate, and at worst, a complete lack of integrity demonstrated by the Internet and new car sales managers. More
