We purchased a 2007 Toyota Avalon from Toyota of Richardson, and were blessed to work with Robert Alicea. The purchase itself was quick and went smoothly, but it's the events that took place less than a month later that have earned Robert such high stars in our book. Our Avalon had an air-conditioning compressor go out just 31 days after the purchase of the car, which caused damage to the air-conditioning system and radiator. Upon calling Robert (in a panic because we lived 4 hours away), he explained that the Avalon had a 3 month warranty and that we could work to get the car seen at our closest Toyota dealership to have the repairs done. Robert worked tirelessly to help us get the logistics worked out, was our liason between the Service Manager, and went above and beyond to make sure that we were not left "high and dry". He was the example of someone that took care of us, even AFTER the sale. The Toyota of Richardson Service Department and Business Office was amazing, as well. They went as far as to reimburse us for the amount of expenses we had to pay out of our pocket for repairs that were not covered by the warranty. We cannot say enough about this dealership's willingness to make sure that we were well taken care of...and for that, they have earned our business for life! I have worked with Matt Grier for some years now & he is professional & courteous to work with; he follows up to insure work is done as discussed and alerts us in advance of any additional work that needs doing. We have also never had to take the vehicles back because it's done right & completely the first time. Thus I give it a 5 rating. More
I have been taking my car to Toyota of Richardson for the past 4 years. I have never had a bad experience. They are very prompt and courteous all the time. Lee Schuster always knows the systems that need watching and wants me to have a good experience with the repairs or, in this case, with the rotation of my wife's tires. I purchased my 08 tundra on July 29, 2011. This after several weeks of going back and forth about how the car was and was not available. First shady act of advertizing cars that dont exist. Finally the used car salesperson calls me and says the prior sale fell thru and the car was back on the lot...hmmmmm. Well I make an appointment to come see the car and one of the contract agreements was to fix some body damage upon purchase. I dropped my truck off a week after the purchase at 7:00 am at the dealership, with an agreement that the body work would be completed as well as a complete detail by the time I return from work that day. At 4:30 pm that afternoon, I arrived at the dealership and they just started work on the car even though it has been in their possession for close to 10 hours. So I sat and waited. Around 7:00 pm, I asked my salesperson to give me an update on the car. He was not around and it turned out that he has left for the day and that my car has been done for a while now. Great customer care wouldnt you agree? When they brought my truck around, the body work done was amateur to say the very least. They did a horrible job of repairing the damage, in fact, they ended up doing more damage. The truck was never detailed either. After I point this out to the manager, he apologized and had the truck sent out to be detailed. Another 45 minutes later, I am told my truck is done. Now that it is clean, I can clearly see how much damage was really done. It's a black truck, so any imperfections in the paint stand out. On top of the body work not being fixed correctly, now I have heavy swirl marks up and down the whole truck and touch up paint randomly slapped all over the truck. I proceeded to have a lengthy conversation with the manager and director about how the repairs were not acceptable. They argued that that the best they could do with their world class body shop. I then proceeded to point out the additional damage to the truck. At that point the Director walks off not saying a word. I am quickly put into a rental car so I can leave my truck with them so they can fix the issues. However, after sleeping on it, I decided that I can't trust them to fix the problems correctly. So I went to go pick up my truck the next morning. When I was given my car back, there were RACIAL slurs on the paperwork. I call back to the dealership to advise them of the incident and a Sr Manager, Norm Nguyen, hung up on me during the conversation. This is from a dealership that has won numerous Toyota Presidents Awards for customer care and satisfaction! You have to wonder if a dealership is willing to write down those type of comments on your documents, then what are they willing to say and do behind your back? Even though I have been in contact with Toyota Corporate and their local Customer Relations Advocate for a couple of weeks now, there has not been any action done. I have NOT received, at minimum, a formal apology for the racial slurs. I have NOT gotten my truck fixed, even though they stated they would pay for me to have it fixed at a shop of my choice. I just wished I had done the same before all this had occurred. I will modify this review depending upon how the dealership and toyota handles this fiasco. I hope this has helped other decide on where to spend their hard earned money!!! Obviously I do not recommend this dealership, but this site would not post my review until I changed that status. This will be the 2nd car I have purchased from Toyota of Richardson and the 2nd car I have purchased through Waleed Khan. Waleed was an absolute pleasure to work with both times. From start to end, my experience with Toyota of Richardson was great. CT and Cesar were very friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. Most importantly, to me, they were not pushy and straight Richardson was great. CT and Cesar were very friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. Most importantly, to me, they were not pushy and straight shooters. Their focus was on the car I wanted, and the budget I was working with. They didn't recommend a different car that I didnt want or try to stretch my budget like other car dealerships. I left the car dealership with the car I wanted and within my budget. I will highly recommend this dealership to family and friends. More
