I was in an unfortunate accident two weeks ago and it put me in a tremendous bind as my ability to work absoluitely depends on my being able to get there. I have a great job but I have some bumps and bruises on my credit from the past. I went to Toyota of Richardson after seeing an older used car listed on their web site that I felt with a decent down payment I'd be able to get. At the time I was stuck in a rental car that was costing me $300 a week. I had been previously approved at Drive Time, but after doing some homework I opted to not do business with them because the owner plead guilty to securities fraud and I'm not even going to mention what they refer to their customers as - you can Google that for yourself, and the amount I would have paid for the car in total would have been 4 times it's value at the time I signed the paperwork. I could go on about what else I learned about that company, but this review isn't about them, it's about Toyota of Richardson, so I'm going to get back to the point. Sam ran my credit, asked me a few questions about my situation, and what happened next I can only describe as divine intervention, fate, or the like. Sam says "Zach, I have a car for YOU! Wait until you see this." - those words I really did NOT expect to hear at a real dealership [And that's not a verbatim quote but you get my point]. How he was able to pair me with that car right off the bat I do not understand. What he did was nothing short of brilliant, he put me in a car that was basically brand new, but had some cosmetic hail damage. Let me explain why this is important. With my credit the way it was, the amount of deposit I had to work with, I would have realistically been looking at a 4-5 year old car with 100,000 miles on it. What Sam did was put me into a car that was mechanically perfect [Might as well have just been driven out of the factory as far as I'm concerned] but had a couple of dents on it. Those couple of dents [from hail] knocked so much off the sticker price of that car that it put it just within my reach. And this is where the Finance team came in. But first, let me tell you that I had previously been to another Toyota dealership. Ironically about a week before my accident, by chance and not because I had been out shopping for a car, I had been out shopping for service on my Toyota Avalon which had 400,000 miles [Yes, almost HALF A MILLION MILES - THIS IS WHY I SWEAR BY TOYOTA!] and somehow ended up letting this other used dealership run my credit. I won't name names but here but let's just say they are in a city that starts with the letter P. The salesman was nice enough, but they just kind of let me sit there for a couple of hours waiting for the Finance guys to try to work something out. After a couple of hours, the guy said the finance people were not reachable because it was the end of the day and that he'd get back with me the next day. He never called me. Let me tell you, at Toyota of Richardson, that JUST DOES NOT HAPPEN! It doesn't matter who you are dealing with, staff who are just passing by will check on you to make sure you're ok. While I was waiting staff I didn't even know would come up to me, call me by my name and tell me what was going on, as if they had known me for years. The experience is VERY personal and HIGHLY pleasing. I am an extremely busy software developer and I barely have time to keep up with myself, but let me tell you THAT is the kind of place where I would go OUT OF MY WAY just to get an oil change so I could hang out there for 20 minutes and say Hi to those people. I am not kidding here. Back to the Finance guys, namely Rey and Danny. I mentioned the paragraph before last that I had been somewhere else and not been approved. Let me also state that one of the banks that didn't approve me was Capital One Auto Finance. I don't know how those two guys did it, but let me tell you they CAN MAKE THINGS HAPPEN! Never buy a car on a rainy afternoon. cause what the you is a rain smudge is really a huge SCRATCH that the good people at Toyota of Richardson wont replace cause it wont buff out.. All I can say is WOW! Buying a car is normally a headache. I drove from lubbock Tx wich is 4 hrs and some change just so I could get the kind of customer service that I received from Sam. I had a great experiance and all the staff was freindly. I had called a couple of times working with Sam to get this done and unfortunately another employee told me that Iwas "handed" off to him absolutely not the case, Shame on you Tracey, but other than this it was the easiest and most pleasent car buying experiance I have ever had. I will definately reccomend Sam, Toyota of Richardson and also will look for Sam the next time Im looking for a car! Thanks again More

Everything went as smooth as possible, from the test drive, to the financing! He even stayed late after the dealership closed to make sure our experience buying a car from him was as perfect as possible. I can not say enough good things about Eduardo and the rest of the Toyota of Richardson staff. We are very happy and we definitely recommend Eduardo and Toyota of Richardson! This stealership's service department is full of ignorant xxxxxx. Went in to get a key made since I lost the master. Quoted 3 different prices from 3 people ranging from $40-$320. First employee I talked to was extremely condescending- smirking at a customer you didn't even introduce yourself to all because I asked if your computer had internet access to look up something regarding the situation at hand? Poor form. Supervisor told me the replacement I purchased online wasn't chipped without looking at it and implied I lied to his employees about my situation. Was talked down to, hung up on (when calling to find original employee I spoke to on site because no one knew who I was talking about-- who doesn't know the people they work with?), and felt no relationship was attempted to be established even though I purchased my car from them 2 months ago. Tell me I can't program a key because it requires "wiping the computer so it will accept a new key and I don't possess the proper equipment?" Only equipment I needed was Google search and a paper clip. Cost me $25 and 30 minutes of my time to do what their crack team of mechanics said would need upwards of 2.5 hours to accomplish. If I was their manager I would be embarrassed to call these my employees. Nothing short of the whole department being fired would convince me to step foot on the lot again save for gloating at the incompetent nature of these good-for-nothing crooks. On top of these highlights from today's experience, I still have not received a proper antenna for my car. Toyota Lewisville quoted me 150 for key replacement and I have no ties to them whatsoever. Ali has been really friendly and helpful to the customers. We did not find the most desirable car on the first visit, but his kindness welcome us back.
