Morning welcome was pleasant and efficient. Coffee bar was welcome. Never fond of waiting but it was a reasonable amount of time. I had an extremely frustrating experience at Toyota Chula Vista with service advisor Elsy Chavez. I scheduled an appointment for two cosmetic services on my vehicle. A day prior to the appointment my advisor Vista with service advisor Elsy Chavez. I scheduled an appointment for two cosmetic services on my vehicle. A day prior to the appointment my advisor canceled saying that the person that was going to fix one on the issues wasn’t available and rescheduled my appointment. When I finally brought my car in, they only completed one of the two requested services, causing me unnecessary delays and inconvenience since she cancelled my first appointment for this exact reason. When she called me to let me know they were only doing 1 out of the 2 services, the advisor showed a complete lack of professionalism. Not only did she fail to apologize, but she also raised her voice and spoke to me with a rude, condescending attitude. Instead of addressing the issue calmly and respectfully, she became defensive and dismissive. Customer service at the front desk is crucial, and unfortunately, this advisor demonstrated lack of empathy, communication skills, and basic courtesy. I left the conversation feeling disrespected and completely dissatisfied with the service I received. Besides her lack of professionalism, Elsy Chavez needs to be trained on basic things like using the Toyota App. This app is free for the first year and after that you pay a monthly fee, I started paying the monthly subscription and during one of my appointments with her I expressed that I couldn’t do the linkage of the app and my car. She said she didn’t know how to use it and didn’t even try to get someone else to help me. I stopped paying the subscription due to this. Toyota Chula Vista needs to seriously evaluate who they have representing their brand at the front desk, because this experience has made me question whether I’ll return to this location in the future and this is where I bought my car 2 years ago. More
