I had an appointment to get an oil change. My appointment was for 12 noon, I had some extra time so I showed up a bit early at 11:00 a.m. When I dropped my car off I was told that the car woul My appointment was for 12 noon, I had some extra time so I showed up a bit early at 11:00 a.m. When I dropped my car off I was told that the car would be ready by about 1:30. I also advised the representative that took my keys and all my information that I had a coupon for the oil change. I left and returned at 2:00 p.m. when I returned they said the car was not ready and would not be ready until 3:30 p.m.. since I was dropped off I sat in the waiting room at 3:40 p.m. the service writer came to me in the waiting room and said it would be another 45 minutes. Fortunately it was not another 45 minutes but it was another 20 minutes. When I went to go pay the service writer said the coupon I had was not acceptable because it was for oil that was a specialty oil only. I then pointed out on the coupon that it explicitly said it was not for specialty oils. When I tried to point this out the service writer argued with me we had a disagreement back and forth and she finally decided to give me the price that was on the coupon. The overall time it took to get an oil change was over 5 hours and I had a coupon for $59. I could have gone to Valvoline oil change for $110 and it would have taken 15 minutes. In the future I will not spend 5 hours in an attempt to save $50 my time is worth far more than the $10 an hour I have to wait. This is completely unacceptable. More
