I went to get a simple oil change and tires rotation. My car was out like in and hour and parked outside the service area. After one hour and half no one call me to tell me it was ready. I went in My car was out like in and hour and parked outside the service area. After one hour and half no one call me to tell me it was ready. I went in and talked to Kevin Laguna my service guy. He didn’t know my car was ready until he checked his computer. That was 1:30 hours later. I paid my bill and got out frustrated. When I got home I saw my cabine filter out and not put back. It was on the floor taken out. Not very good experience with this dealer. I will never comeback. More

Towed a 2008 Lexus IS 250 in to Toyota Chula Vista for a diagnosis for no crank/ no start. Service advisor. Mario was my contact throughout this process. I was told the ECU and immobilizer were dead and diagnosis for no crank/ no start. Service advisor. Mario was my contact throughout this process. I was told the ECU and immobilizer were dead and quoted a repair bill of $7300. I specifically asked the dealer to check the fuel pressure sensor, which is a known issue (official Lexus service advisory) and takes five minutes to check. Even included a YouTube video of the specific issue I wanted ruled out before calling a tow truck to remove the vehicle.. “Master Tech” apparently refused to check the issue according to Mario saying they “stand behind their diagnosis” and he “couldn’t do anything about it”. Since the value of the repair was well beyond the bluebook on the car, I was prepared to scrap the vehicle. Dealership offered me $250 for the car on trade, but since the offer was insultingly low, I decided to have the card towed off property after paying the $200 diagnosis. Thank goodness I trusted my gut and checked the fuel pressure sensor with a Mobile Mechanic. He immediately identified the issue (10 min) and made repair for less than 10% of the Toyota dealer price. Vehicle started right up after replacement of the fuel pressure sensor just like every YouTube video that showed this repair. Next day, I went down in person to request refund, and it was told only a service manager who was not on site could authorize. After a strong email with CEO, general sales manager and service manager cc’d I received a phone call back from Mario within approximately 15 minutes of sending the email that my refund had been authorized. For some reason, they couldn’t reverse the credit card charge and I had to wait approximately 10 days to come down in person again to request a refund which then had to be processed by their business office and I’d be receiving a check in the mail. When I attempted to ask Mario questions as to what the process was and what the timeline look like he was less than professional. As of this review, I made the request for refund this morning and I am in limbo, waiting for the business office in Kearney Mesa to receive and process request. I received this request for this survey after making the official request for request refund this morning. My experience with Toyota of Chula Vista has been beyond frustrating and disappointing. I have lost countless hours and nearly lost a great car due to their unwillingness to check the one thing I asked them to check. At this point, I just want my refund and I’m having trouble understanding why it takes weeks to refund a simple $200 credit card transaction. I am hopeful they will honor the refund promised and I’ll see the check in the mail eventually. Still never heard back from service director or any other management. Throughout the whole experience I can at least credit the master tech Travis Polo who was responsible for misdiagnosis as he did at least take a moment to hear me out when I came down to request initial refund. He apologized and owned the mistake. I think that showed a certain level of class on his part to own the issue and apologize. I will be glad to have my refund and put this experience behind me. More
