Not up to Toyota standards I made a 7:30am appointment for recall servicing, and also added a needed repair resulting from a previous recall not done as well as it should have b I made a 7:30am appointment for recall servicing, and also added a needed repair resulting from a previous recall not done as well as it should have been. The service representative initially said that the repair from previous recall work wasn't part of this recall, implying that it wasn't covered. I repeated that it resulted from inadequate work on a previous recall, so he added it to the ticket. We heard nothing until I called a 4:00pm to find out the status of the work, and was told that it wouldn't be ready until closer to 6:00pm. I can't imagine why it should have taken so long. When I explained that I couldn't pick it up that late, I was told that I had to pick it up by 7:30am the next morning, or be charged an additional day for the rental car. When I explained that I couldn't be there that early, the representative basically was not helpful. I asked to speak to the manager. Soon the representative got back online and said that she had spoken to the manager, and he said not to worry, just come in when I could, without any additional charge. That is more like it, but it required my having to ask for the manager. When we subsequently picked up the car the next morning at 8:30am, all went well until we got into the car and found that the repair needed by the previous inadequate recall work had not been done. We shouldn't have to bang hard on the in-dash cup holder several times to get it to open. The service representative said that it needed some lubrication and cleaning, and would be happy to find out when it could be done. Naturally I asked why it had not already been done as the service ticket had required, and his reply was that they service guy probably just banged on it and thought it was ok. But obviously the service representative agreed that it wasn't working properly, as he was also unable to open it without several banging attempts. The car wasn't washed, but we were given a ticket for a free car wash elsewhere. That is an extra hassle, and since this was the case also several months ago, whatever was preventing the dealer from giving me a clean car has not been fixed. I expect better service from Toyota. More

Great Service Advisor Will was my service advisor. He was knowledgeable, polite, prompt and very helpful. I really appreciate how he explained everything and how short a Will was my service advisor.
