Dear Ted Britt Ford, When I needed a new car, I called Dear Ted Britt Ford, When I needed a new car, I called a friend of my son's, Daniel Khan. I knew he started working at a Ford dealership and I like Dear Ted Britt Ford, When I needed a new car, I called a friend of my son's, Daniel Khan. I knew he started working at a Ford dealership and I like Fords. I called him and told him I was thinking about getting a new car because I was no longer pleased with my 2008 Ford Fusion (gas prices and no longer needed a larger sedan). He told me he'd look at what they have and get back to me. He called a couple of days later and told me that he found the perfect car for me, a 2012 Ford Focus. I told him I couldn't come to the dealership to look at it until the following weekend. D Khan said he would take all my information over the phone to see if I will be approved. I told him my concern about going through my credit union, Apple Federal Credit Union, and he assured me that Ted Britt Ford works with them on financing. D Khan took all the information for my trade-in. After a day, D Khan called me and said I was approved for the deal he had worked up. He said he wanted to finalize the deal and I told him I couldn't make it out to Fairfax before the weekend. That's when D Khan said something I've never heard a car dealer say....he would deliver the car to my house! D Khan and a young man, Brett, from the dealership delivered the car to my house. D Khan had all the paperwork already completed and with him, for my signatures. I saw the car in front of my house and agreed that he made a GREAT choice of a model for me. He knew exactly what I wanted! If he gets to know other customers well enough, he would make the same great choice(s) for them. We went into the house and signed the paperwork, before I even test drove the car! The young man with him changed the plates on the cars while we did the paperwork (he had brought all his own tools). After we were done, we went back out and went for the test drive. I was very comfortable in this vehicle. It seemed "made for me". I can't tell you what a relief it was for D Khan to go above and beyond for not only a family friend, but a customer. He would do the same thing for someone else in my position, in a heartbeat! D Khan was very professional and made sure all the paperwork was completely properly and I got all the copies I needed to keep. He showed everything in the car, that I needed to know about. I can't stand going to car dealerships, as everything takes hours to deal with, but D Khan made it easy for me to continue my daily routine and have a new car in just a few days. When my 2007 Mercury Milan was brought in for its 45,000 mile service, Dan Strouth and the Fairfax "Red Team" treated me with the utmost respect (even though I had not bought my car from Ted Britt). When I returned to pick up my car, I spotted a 2010 Mercury Milan that was a "love at first sight" purchase opportunity. Long story short, I was afforded the kind of enthusiasm and appreciation that any customer could ask for; and finished my visit with the trade-in of my 2007 for the 2010 Milan that I fell in love with. The entire process was a joy to be a part of. My hat is off to Marcus Castellanos (my salesman), whose tie I was honored to cut for display on the "Ted Britt Wall of Fame" (as I was his first client); special thanks to Rick Asay for securing the sweetest possible financing arrangements; a personal "thank you so much" to Carina Thompson for taking the time to greet me with a "hello" and a smile each time she was nearby; my gratitude to Sonny Robinson for helping Marcus and me find our way around "the paperwork mountain"; and when it comes time to close your deal, you will be very impressed by Moe Hamdan - whose professionalism is a testimony to the standards that Ted Britt Ford/Lincoln-Mercury operates by. The financial process went very quickly and was a nice experience. Also, the 'get ready' crew cleaned up my truck (it looked like it had been nicely detailed) just prior to my drive-away. To cap it off, Andy Britt, Sales Mgr, stopped by to check on how things had been. He spent a bit of time with me, not the usual perfunctory 30 second 'glad hand.' This was the best used car (OK, Previously Owned) buying experience I've ever had, and I've had lots of them. I'm 69. More
