I purchased a new 2010 SRX from Murphy Cadillac and I had a great experiance. I would definately recommend them for service as well as this is my third Cadillac from Murphy and have had great service on all a great experiance. I would definately recommend them for service as well as this is my third Cadillac from Murphy and have had great service on all of them. Rob Selkow has been my salesmen and he is very knowledgable about the vehicles he represents. More
when we first arrived with my 2004 Lexus we inquired about the value of that car and asked if they had a "blue" book listing the value of my car. They replied "no" but would look it up. We decided that about the value of that car and asked if they had a "blue" book listing the value of my car. They replied "no" but would look it up. We decided that we loved the Cadillac and would like to buy it. They said my car was worth $8,500 dollars and would apply that against the cost of the Cadillac. We drove the Caddy home and left the Lexus with them eventhough I did'nt have the certificate of ownership. When we got home my daughter was really upset with us because she would have taken it from us and would have paid more for it because she works for "auto trader.com" ////////well we immediately called Murphy and ask to buy the Lexus back. The sales man said he would have to check with his manager. He did'nt call us back for two days at which time we were told that they could'nt sell it back to us because they had put on two new tires and did other work on the car, My daughter tells me that NO dealeere would do things to the car wothout the certificate of ownership. If all of this is true-I am really upset with Murphy. My daughter also knows an auto dealer who claims that what Murphy did was unforgivable--that no dealer touches a car until he has the certificate of ownership. More
My parents are in their 80s and purchased a new CTS at Murphy on 12/18 with a trade. Their trade was a 2004 Lexus ES330 with 55,000 miles which the salesman allowed $8,500 towards the purchase, telling the Murphy on 12/18 with a trade. Their trade was a 2004 Lexus ES330 with 55,000 miles which the salesman allowed $8,500 towards the purchase, telling them this was the KBB price. They paid cash for the balance. This was a total rip off as the car was clean and should have been appraised at $12,000 or better(as listed on KBB or Edmunds). I even called anaother Cadillac dealership and was told that this was a terrible appraisal. I had them call 24 hours after the sale to take the car back and pay the balance in cash. No one would return the call for 4 days! When we got the salesman on the phone he would not let them do this and demanded $13,500 for the return ( he didn't even have the title yet as it had been mailed that day). They are old and this was too upsetting for them to continue. The car went right on their used lot for $16,995 and all they did was replace two tires. They have always bought foreign and my mother wanted to buy American to help the economy. Murphy Cadillac is a disgrace, takes advantage of elderly people, has zero customer service skills and should be ashamed of how they ripped off my parents. They may not live long enough to buy another Cadillac, but you can be sure I never will (I also own a Lexus) and hopefully no one I know will either. This transaction should have been reworked at their request in 24 hours and the dealership chose to ignore them and rip them off.Shame on them! More
